Mav, that's the way to make memories you can tell your kids when you get married. I used to live in NYC moved to the seacoast of NH in 1982. My ex and I split in 1995, I was just 42 then (I'm 68 now), I drove to Sedona AZ from NH lived in my car for 18 months. I went back 7 times to NH & NYC drove all across America in the south, eat food in New Orleans, St Louis & went up into the Arch there was so cool. went to Roswell, NM stopped at the ranch where the "UFO" crashed landed. saw a lot of strange things at night there and out in the National Forest. Enjoy it while you can. but Gas was cheaper then & I was driving a 1989 Dodge Omni my dad gave me for $1.00 (it was my two sisters who used it for college on Long Island, NY) I got it it had about 92,000 miles on it and it was well kept. when I got rid of it it had over 205,000 miles on it I was getting 34MPG highway. I got the car in 1994, Gas was about .969/gal when I started in 1995 & $1.20/gal in 2002. I traded it in and got a 1997 Dodge Caravan with 23,000 miles on it. Peace Love Light...

Then on to LA where we visited Venice Beach and Griffith Park and on the way back we took route 66 until Joplin and no bs, my guys tranny overheated and we were stuck and standing on a corner in Winslow AZ which was not a fine site to see lol...

Man, I need to start saving up for a road trip now. Start planning it out later in the future. Really cool to watch you just travel in the states. Safe travels always.

Love this trip on Route 66 you took. A couple of times we have taken part of Route 66 from CA on south to Sedona, AZ and always stop at Oatman, AZ (donkeys in the streets of this small interesting town) as well as Seligman, AZ which is the iconic Route 66 town. It has much Route 66 memorabelia large and small as well as the historic Route 66 vibe. We met barber Angel Delgadillo there who was key in having Route 66 dedicated as an historic highway.

As an extreme introvert the thought of doing things like this sounds very pleasant.

Me and you both. Life is too short to not do anything. I would start saving up if I were you. We will see the world if we are determined enough to do so :]
