regarding the 7#fault, please pause at 5:45, the lorry behind was not appear (in the mirror) until 5:48,and thats mean the road is clare,so the driver decided to move is wrong?, and I didn't see any threat to the lorry behind. if the driver didnot move as the way is clear, he will be accused" UNDUE HESITATION" again

The gap was ok, the fail was that he wasn't prepared enough to move off as soon as the last car before the gap was passing by, and should have kept going in the same lane rather than pulling right into the path of the lorry.

Fault #5, waits for too long at a green light, is totally unfair. All he did was checking his mirror before pulling away. I bet if he gave it a bit more gas he'd be done for that, or pulling off without due care and attention! There's no pleasing some people!

what was wrong with fault 2?? im confused.. was he supposed to sit behind the parked car and wait for the oncoming vehicle to pass??
@thefiestaguy88318 жыл бұрын
Yes.
@tezzrexx7 жыл бұрын
The on coming car had to break (making it a dangerous fault), and he should've waited till the learner in front had moved on and there was space for his entire car in the road. If the learner had to break suddenly, he would've been blocking opposite lane.
@acidraw849 жыл бұрын
I thought you had to indicate when you had to cross the white lines to get around a parked car? That's what my instructor taught me.
@Isobel2019 жыл бұрын
***** No you don't.
@richardwilliams52509 жыл бұрын
***** Yes and no. You don't always have to indicate but you should indicate if another road user would benefit from your signal. If there is no one to give information to then strictly speaking you don't need a signal. So if there was a road user behind you then you may decide to indicate to show them that you are going to move into the middle of the road (otherwise they may think that you are going to park and try to overtake you). Don't forget that road users include cyclists and pedestrians as well as other cars - you may decide to indicate to show a pedestrian that you are moving out just in case they think that you are going to park. Don't forget that pedestrians may not have the same view of the road, so for example you may not decide to indicate "left" if you are in a left hand turn only lane. However a pedestrian may not know that it's a left hand turn only lane and so if you see a pedestrian about to cross then you may decide to indicate to reinforce to the pedestrian that you're intention is to turn left. A good rule of thumb is to ask yourself "who will my signal here benefit?" If you can identify anyone who may benefit then signal. If you're not sure, always signal. When first learning to drive it's easier to always signal but as you become more experienced in driving then you'll start to read road situations better and you'll get a better understanding of when and when you don't need a signal.
@chrischoy98 жыл бұрын
+A Murray You need to indicate only if half of your vehicle crosses the white line.

@teddyr17186 жыл бұрын
I just failed my test in Australia because I just slightly slightly bumped the curb when I was leaving the VicRoads carpark (which is for some reason ridiculously tiny?) - didn’t mount the curb, wasn’t at all serious, but apparently it’s an instant fail that’s on par with a collision and driving through a red light. So pissed I only got to drive like 10 metres
@sanilshivan59699 жыл бұрын

I failed my test because of supposedly being too close to the central line but not being on it which I thought was bollocks, although this is a mock test he didn't look In his central mirror a number of times when stopping, pulled up next to a junction and didn't look behind him when doing turn in the road where he could have potentially killed a pedestrian. Explain this one to me again?

***** yes but he judged properly according to him. and that was quick desicion by him.
@thefiestaguy88318 жыл бұрын
He didn't make him slow down, had he caused him to have to slow down (i.e ease off the gas too much) then he'd have got a serious fault and failed, had he caused the lorry driver to hit the brakes, that's considered a dangerous driving fault, and have failed. He basically pulled on, and just about got away with it, had the lorry got any closer before he built up speed he'd have failed.
@TaefDewan7 жыл бұрын
There were two 'faults' which I found was ridiculous. One of the 'faults' were that he never observed behind him whilst reversing which was clear he did if you re-watch he looked behind and around many times. The second which most people in the comment section agree also with me is the green light one as even if it showed green on this construction traffic lights people from the opposite side still pass when the lights are red so I think it's a good thing that he waited as imagine he pulled out and then a car came at speed. I'm revising currently for my Theory Test which I'm going to take and PASS in two weeks times from now and I'll be taking and PASSING my driving test in August 2017.
@kravez166 жыл бұрын

Good Video. In Namibia; Andrews could have automatically failed at the Emergency stop. There are three compulsory steps that you have to do in their correct sequence. Stop the car within a short distance, put on hazard to informe other road users, gear neutral and put in handbrake (Without damaging the ratchet; no crrrrr sound when puling the handbrake).. Examiners are very strict here..Congrats to him anyway.
@ciaranhill151910 жыл бұрын

He would had failed badly in Singapore...for blind spots and signalling. He's suppose to signal when he sees a hazard(car) and signal again when returning to the center of the lane.
@sikejunior93598 жыл бұрын
Signalling too much is unnecessary sometimes...in the UK there are too many parked cars, if we were to signal left and right everytime we moved in and out it would cause more confusion, especially if there are junctions/roundabouts coming up
@CrazyHynter7 жыл бұрын
It's similar in my country, although you're not supposed to signal when going back to your lane. But you're supposed to signal every time you do any type of maneuver, it doesn't matter if you're trying to go around a 2cm hole, you are still obligated to turn on your signal.
