The first esp engines were shit. I was mates with a bloke who drove Turner's truck show winning t950. Had a 410/460 esp and a 10 speed Rockwell. You would hit hills and it would pull until the truck settled to the speed it could pull and bam, derate to 410 and you were left usually dropping the button and hitting the bottom half of the box. Witnessed it first-hand. They ended up straight rating it to 430
