I have a old 4 cyl diesel Ferguson 35 with a front loader that I got more or less for some house work and I love it! They are great small tractors even today. It is also the reason I found your channel (somewhat, the mini dump truck in the back of the van also helped) and also why I watch all your tractor videos when they come out. Keep up the good work!

What a lovely little tractor and i hope it got a beautiful place to work and stay warm and dry. Sad i didn't live in America and had the opportunity to buy it 🙏🏻 I sure could use on small tractor like that. Keep these amazing videos coming Lawrie 💪🏻

Stumbled upon an operating relic, surrounded by beautiful scenery, the weather seemed perfect as well... its like food for the soul. The zen tractor experience. And, you don't need to make space for it in your own shed! I don't know about you, Lawrie, but if I had more space, I would probably just collect more stuff!

As a ex farmer.. in the day they wernt my favourite ...due too really steep hills in co durham england.... having poor no engine braking,..unlike diesels.....they were guilty of running away out of control... also the original skinny front tyres made for dodgy steering. ...great channel love old tractors...cheers from dave

I've been wondering how long it sat. I'm figuring a small number of years for the battery to still have as much charge left as it did in your previous video or someone charged it along the way but never did anything with it. I grew-up on a dairy farm in Pennsylvania. We had an old Massey Harris around with a John Deere #5 sicklebar mower. It wasn't running in that time and we were running too flat-out with the farm to do anything with it. Beside, it was narrow-front so wasn't going to be one we wanted to use in that uneven ground. The rest we had were all Allis Chalmers. We had a CA which had a hydraulic pump run off the PTO. It was the only one we regularly used without the "power director" or range selector. It had a hand clutch that worked by disengaging the right-hand side of the rear axle so the differential would freewheel. We had a D17 with no remote ram couplers and we never used the snap coupler - it got used for tedding and raking, and running the blower for silage. Our main tractors were a 170 and 180 and I spent so much time running those to mow and bale hay. The 170 had a very similar seat design, albeit with cushions. It bottomed out all the time. The 180 was a bit better.

12 to 18 months is stated somewhere, so not long at all.

Regarding your comment about heat, in my experience most antique american tractors get very hot and just radiate large amounts of heat as they run normally. The impressive part is at a tractor pull as the sun goes down and seeing the exhaust stack glowing from the heat of the exhaust

Massey Harris and Ferguson merged in 1953. They ran two separate sets of dealers and equipment lines for a number of years afterwards but each had to sell the others equipment. It is quite likely your TO-30 is painted red because it was sold by a Massey Harris dealer.

Yes should be all grey but the red does add some zing. Headlights I do not think are original. I have seen the winged style brackets, angle brackets and your style on various TO20's TO30's and even the Ford 8Ns and TE/TEA series as well. Seems the lights were the first thing to get broken off or changed out by the farmers.
