Driving the poor man's Boxster Spyder

The poor man's Boxster Spyder is finally complete.
This is my 2006 Boxster S "Sabine"

Numeric Shifter & Cables

While the car is obviously still heavier than a real 987 spyder, it now weighs in at 3050 lbs which isn't too bad. It may also be down on power and torque over a spyder, but the mods do make it much more lively and the motor loves to rev.
The most notable changes are the tires and alignment. The turn in is truly extraordinary and the new rear sway bar really keeps the ass end in check. It still pales in comparison to a 718 spyder but that's a proper GT car with another decade and a half of development. So for what it is, the 987 is a very analog feeling sports car with phenomenal texture to the steering.
Compared to a spyder, it is also lacking an LSD, but I'm not sure the car makes enough power to really take advantage of it anyway. Regardless, it's absolute bliss to drive.

Nice bit of road- Porsche perfect! Loved the echo as you passed that cutting. Have a lot of similar roads in the Adelaide hills. Get my 987S out there at every opportunity.

I live in a drab and dreary part of England on the outskirts of London and I am massively jealousy of the roads around you and also the weather it seems  in any case enough moaning from me, great videos and a new sub thanks mate!

Glad you enjoyed! Unfortunately I have to drive about 2 hours for these roads and it's rained nearly all summer but I try to make the best of it! Check out my other videos too!
