One of the best things about Range Rovers is the driver's seat position. I had a 1984 Range Rover 3.5 ltre, V8 Petrol SE, model in Africa. At the time,I lived on a farm, 34 kms(18 miles) from the capital, along a major arterial road leading north. Consequently there was a lot of Heavy Goods traffic to deal with, mostly 18 wheelers. In the wet weather they would throw up really quite dense clouds of spray from their massive wheels. It was so bad that even with windscreen wipers on maximum, drivers of ordinary saloon cars would battle to see the road ahead, but in a Range Rover one sat high enough to be above the "sprayline"...!! "Living Room" comfort with Genuine Off Road superlative capabilities..!
