The cabins have small doors and low ceilings for less airspace to heat and cabins stay warm in colder weather. Many visitors think it is because people were short, nope they just wanted less area to heat meaning less wood to burn.

looks like you found the traffic! :) wow - so close to the road - we get black bears coming into cabins up here...but they are pretty shy - pretty thick forest - looks like a great area to hike in ! :) wow - so many people - we are spoiled up here - rarely see anyone else on the trails up here - the cabin looks like it was made for short people - or they ran out of logs when they were building it maybe? :) thanks for taking us along! :)

We found it alright! Definitely need to head out a lot earlier next time. I didn’t think about running out of logs! Quite possible back then I would imagine, thanks for watching!

Dylan would much rather see things from the car as well. Cades Cove is another excellent place to spot wildlife from the car! Thanks for watching!

We’re camping right now in Sevierville, TN and traffic is heavy. Harrison Bay State Park in Harrison, TN is a wonderful campground. There is a lot of deer to see very close-up.
