I was a conductor for a while and that was always my nightmare ,but if your on the tracks your actually trespassing the RR allows Access for you to cross. I miss ocrp it's come a long way since i was first their. when you leave the train we take the drive handle so it cannot be driven...lock your train.

Fun fact after a vehicle impact train operators get 3 paid days off even if there’s nobody in the vehicle because it’s a traumatic event and it’s 2 horns coming up to the crossing. When a train crosses a cross they do a long horn through the crossing the length of the engine. Also a train traveling at 55 mph a mile long where you slam the brakes is where the rear of the train will stop a mile long train takes a mile to stop. Just figured I’d share the info pretty interesting stuff most train operators don’t realize they have 3 days off for trauma after a collision.

Hey Jeff, firstly I want to say very good video, but I have some suggestions (if possible) for the horn, if you need/want a louder one I suggest searching for a K3LA, or if your into retro rolling stock, a RS3L. I'm not sure if you can change the horn but some suggestions. Also, BELLS, bells are good not only for approaching crossings, but warning for pedestrians near the tracks, examples are the Graham White E-Bell, or EMD Steel Bell.

Did you know, that in the event of an accident involving a Union Pacific train and anything else, any responding police officers that demand to see any of the conductor or engineer's information is actually out-ranked by the conductor and engineer. Since they work for a federal transportation bureau, they have the same status as U.S. Marshalls, and do not have to comply to anything until a Union Pacific representative arrives at the scene to take over.

On most railroad crossings (in America) there is a phone number for the railroad service. I know the guy wasn’t on a crossing but, it would be cool if you add a phone number to call the train conductors in case of emergencies.

Going through the metro area like over near the Grove area would be 25 to 30 mph. In rural areas it would be 40 to 60 with straight track and 30 to 50 if it's curvy. Mountainous areas it would be 30 to 40. If there is an incident you stop as soon as you can, dosen't matter if you block crossings. The only reason to use top speed is for runaway rp.
