Remove all the kiosks along the streets, plant green grasses with flowers, equipped with sprinklers and construct side walks. If the city is able to do these, the city will transform and serve as a model for other cities to emulate. We really need to spend money and time to beautify our cities as they define who we are as a country. It can be contracted

Agree but I’m on the fence about the kiosk. It’s very tacky but some of these folks it’s their bread and butter. Idk it’s a weird feeling for me but it is definitely tacky.

@@nadegeexcellent6623 We just need to be creative. We can build a major/large indoor central market at the outskirts of the city, powered by solar and designate them into different sections (stores section, stalls section, kiosk section, restaurants section, produce section, roaming sales section and parking lots). This can be a large 3-4 storey edifice with a parking lot at the basement. Something similar have been done in some places in Asia. Even in Los Angeles, when you visit the Alley in downtown LA and Chinatown, something similar exist. What are we doing to ourselves, people? We always want the muzungu man to think and do things for us and accuse them of colonizing us. Brothers and sisters, let's use our brains and be creative to make life better for us. This will be a capital project and can pay for itself. It's an easy approach to collecting fees and taxes from the people and this can go into the repayment plan. Can you imagine how much be generated from the parking alone? GOODLUCK GHANA, IT'S DOEABLE.

Many of those people can work in an open outdoor area like what they call a "swap meet". They can create several swap meets across town.

@@kwadjoekaya6559 I agree mostly, however I think we should plan to make the city more walkable and bike-able. More like Amsterdam rather than the car dependent cities in America. A lot of space is wasted on car parks. I think the kiosk should be closer to residential areas and scatter them throughout the city rather than just one centered large kiosk.

The only place which I really like is cantonment. The trees and cleanliness. Honest speaking, Accra developers are turning the city into concrete jungle. Where are the trees?
@themotivatortv
@themotivatortv 3 жыл бұрын
I have been asking the same questions over and over. Ghana could have been beautiful country if trees were grown🌲🌳🌴🌲🌳🌴🌲🌳🌴 in the country. We build nice house, far better than Europe and America but what makes it look awkward is lack of trees and perhaps well demarcated road. Trees, and other ornamental plants just beautify a country no matter how poor that country is.

Ghanaians need to go out more. How can a people be so blinkered! LOL. Ghana is so stunted it's ridiculous. To think Ghana had about three years head-start advantage over countries like Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, and Nigeria, having gained its independence earlier. Those other countries have gone on to develop cities that make Accra look so insignificant. Dakar, Abidjan, Abuja are all ahead of Accra. Even the old Nigerian commercial city of Lagos is far far ahead of Accra despite not been Nigeria's seat of government for over 30 years now. But hey, Ghanaians, don't allow anything to get in the way of your empty noise making and wilful ignorance. LOL.

LOL. Look at Accra, the capital city of Ghana in the year 2021. Ghana is well and truly fucked. But Ghanaians will sugar-coat the unremarkable state of this poor excuse for a capital city of a supposedly major West African city. I am not being funny or deliberately hostile, but this is underwhelming. I'll never understand Ghanaians' noise about Accra. I simply don't get it. I knew Accra was behind many many many African cities. What I did not know is that Accra is this far behind, I would never have thought it's this bad. Now this video, a 2021 video of Accra, made me realized just how far behind Accra truly is. I mean if what's shown in the 40 minutes video is indeed Accra's "most expensive areas", then Accra is far behind than I thought. Good god, in 2021! Sigh.

Tell your leaders to think about their people by building better pavement for their citizens and not to endangered citizens life. Where cars human using the same road and using line as a division. Animals, humans and cars using the same road why. The environment is bad no pavement for bicycle and people you call it expensive in Ghana? 24/7 the system is not working.

Nice video. Your background jazz/music was however terribly awful and irritating. Would you like to find a proper background music next time?? Thanks

For the viewers watching this stupid video try not to focus on the private fancy houses which I call smoke screens and focus on what matters ETC public infrastructure then only then you will see this area is run down and built terrible and if you ever get the chance to visit there stop by a traffic light or zebra crossing to see if anyone stop for you . The fancy building are to fool your eyes

No wonder Queen Elizabeth takes away the power of Cape Coast as Capital, Accra is bigger than Cape Coast but still Cape Coast is cleaner than Accra

I always get baffled when I see people comparing Cape Coast sanitation to Accra? Are you trying to compare Accra with Cape Coast? Like seriously? Do you know population plays a big role when it comes to sanitation? Why don't you compare developments in both Cities too? Sunyani, Ho, Koforidua are all clean than Cape Coast what about that too?

They need to ban vending in ghana and destroy those poor infrastructure and kiosks and and build sidewalks to make the place look good. Trust me ghana will be looking 10x better that way.

Some parts in tema are very expensive than some of the places u are showing, but you guys always talking about Accra, example comm.6,10,11 ,12 and some part in community 25,its not fair trying leave tema behind and moreover tema is also in Greater Accra region,or its kind of jealousy 🤔

To be honest I wasn't really impressed watching this video and I can see that Accra still has a long ways to go before it looks like some of the other cities in Africa such as Banana Island Lagos Nigeria or places in Rwanda Ivory Coast Nairobi or maybe Angola.

Masa dont come and throw dust into our eyes, theres nothing special about Banana Island, was in Nigeria myself, went to Banana Island and Eco Atlantic, it wasnt all that, open space community which very developed in Accra is preferable, why go through all the security protocols just to go see someone in Banana Island, besides we have a lot of gated developed communities in Accra

@@Doksimon my bro wen i was in Nigeria, i began to thank our leaders, am not saying Nigeria is a bad place, is a beautiful country with a lot of potentials, but the flow and confortability in Ghana is way better, even infrastructure wise

I wonder why some ghanaians compare Rwanda with Ghana. Rwanda is nowhere near Ghana. People just hear things and start talking nonsense. There is no overhead bridge in kigali, how are there in accra even kumasi?. Nigeria don't have constant electricity like Ghana and when It come to maintenance Ghana is far better than Nigeria. Apart from Abijan and Yamosokrom in ivory tell other cities there to compare to tarkoradi, sunyani or cities in Ghana. Ghana have done well though we still have long way to go.
