The Atlanta area is home to the highest concentration of middle/upper class Black people in the United States. Boasting 4 HBCUs, 2 predominately Black public universities(Georgia State University and Clayton State University), as well as a relatively low cost of living, the area has become known nationwide as a "Black Mecca".
We've seen the hoods of Atlanta. Now let's see what Black neighborhoods that aren't rundown look like!
In this edition we drive through Ellenwood, GA about 25 minutes southeast of downtown Atlanta.
