Turkeys in Brazil are called Perus. Like the country Peru. The same bird is called like the country Turkey in English. The same bird named after two different countries, and both times because of some old confusion about the origin of the bird.

I follow several abroad youtubers doing tourism in Brasil, and I can say that by Van is much better and more immersive than a Plane, Bus, Sailboat, etc. I hope you enjoy the changes in the culture, people, vegetation, etc.

Think it works both ways. By your own vehicle you can go where ever you want, but you are also a bit isolated. By public transport, you get to meet people as you travel along, but are tied to timetables, of course.

This richness is greater than that of some continents, such as North America, which has 17 thousand plant species and Europe, with 12.5 thousand. This is one of the reasons why the Atlantic Forest is a priority for the conservation of global biodiversity. In relation to fauna, the biome is home to approximately 850 species of birds, 370 of amphibians, 200 of reptiles, 270 of mammals and 350 of fish (Ministério do Meio Ambiente, BR).

Paçoca is basically just ground peanuts mixed with sugar and some salt. Then the powder mixture is compressed into a barrel shape. It’s similar to the inside of a Reese’s Peanutbutter cup.

My husband is from Brasil, and he gets lots of laughs hearing me try to speak portuguese, so you're not alone. Quick tip that took me a while, words that start with an R or have a double R in the middle have the sound of an H. That's why Morretes sounds like Mohetes or Rio sounds like Hio. Well keep watching. You must to know the south and North Shore of São Paulo State. I’m sure the you gonna have the most exciting rain forest experience in this two locations. The north shore is mandatory! I suggest that you take the entire BR 101 road from Bertioga to Paraty. Another mandatory stop on this journey is “Ilha Bela” (Beautiful Island). “Ilha Bela” is in the middle of this amazing journey. There is a lot of hikings and hundreds of astonishing small beachs on this route. You can’t lose it.

SP-75 might be the most beautiful road (Serra as we call it) in the entire country. You guys defined would love Imigrantes and Anhanguera going from São Paulo City to Santos. It’s amazing too. The one on the way to Ubatuba it’s surreal as well. I love my Atlantic Forrest.

It’s a must go state, I’d suggest you guys visit Ouro Preto (Black gold), Belo Horizonte (state capital), Inhotim (The biggest outside art museum in the whole world, it’s the nicest place you can imagine) and last you can drive up north and visit Diamantina (Diamondland)

Spot on. Ouro Preto is my favorite City in Brazil. Food in Minas Gerais state is amazing. People are so so Kind. Great culture there. And Chapada Diamantina National Park in Minas state. Wow! A paradise. Beautiful views. From Parati City in Rio de Janeiro state (visit also Buzios city) to Ouro Preto city is the Estrada Real ( Royal road) it was used in the seventeen century, so historical one with beautiful nature and big historical houses (wonderful) in the farms, from that time, with the tipical food. It is one of my deram visit and you do it just by car, you have a Van!!! The Brazilian emperor and people at that time used that to go to Ouro Preto, the richest and biggest City in all América that time. There are books/ and Internet pictures about that tourist road and Ouro Preto. Unforgetable!
