My husband and I purchased a travel trailer with the intention of traveling the U.S. Now we want to go to South America and definitely Brazil after watching your videos. We are now out looking at Class C's. My husband is too tall for a Class B. We would rather drive our home throughout South America than try and tow a trailer. Your videos have inspired a change in our life plans.

Go for it! Curt is 6'2" and fits in our van without ducking... our advice.... stay as narrow as possible and try not to go over 7 meters long! You can do it with longer, but it will limit some of the mountain roads! Chase those dreams!!!

Guys, you have no IDEA how much you both will miss Brazil, it’s a MYSTICAL land….They have a Happy, content and amazing ENERGY flows from everywhere , the animals, the trees, the sky, the water, the people ,the green and the coffee. The simplicity around is so healthy, the fruits are to heal anyone sick, the peace and the poems from sky. What amazing and unforgettable experience ! I am Brazilian living in Canada, love it! Don’t take me wrong, but there’s no wind, there’s no flow, there is no simplicity and no poem. I am retired now After 32 years in Canadian soil. Thinking of move back and explore Brazil , I could never do that when I was there, but now I CAN! Enjoy you trip , every moment of it! Bless you all. Greetings from Quebec 🇨🇦

Good morning Snow and Curt 🌞 I don't know if I could have left that intown campsite after seeing and feeding those wee monkeys. They were so freaking cute 🙂 I hope you are successful in getting your visas extended. I bet if you had a year in Brazil, you would still not see half of the wonders this beautiful country has to offer. Nice to see you both slowing down a bit and enjoying that peaceful campsite. Between all the activities we see you both do online and what I suspect you do behind the scenes with editing, researching, driving, etc, I imagine getting burnt-out happens more often than we realize. Remember to take time to stop and smell the roses, or feed/film the wild critters, whichever floats your boat. 🐒 Safe travels, 🤗🇨🇦

Good morning Snow and Curt! I love seeing those little monkeys and how they took the food from you and also love all of those birds. You are doing it correctly staying so you can rest that last place was such a beautiful place. The Brazilian people are so wonderful and you take such wonderful videos of all the places you've been. I said this before and I'll say it again you two are my extremely number one favorite people and I believe have become my friends. I traveled Europe in the 80s for business and then I went over and visited a couple years ago but Europe is not the same Europe that they were at one time. I'm sure you will enjoy different places in Europe that there are some places in Europe now that are not RV friendly you might want to check that out before you go. After Europe I know you will be homesick for Brazil. I also like rodeos and at 79 I don't get to see them as often as I want except on the television. But we have many many Brazilians that come over here and they do so well in the rodeos and they take it back home and make their country better! Isn't that wonderful. I did get to know a Brazilian couple that came to New Mexico because they said the people were so nice here. I had them in my home and I'll tell you they were wonderful. If you retire and Brazil I know you will be very happy. I hope you get your visas extendeed! May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you; giving you His peace.

Please DO NOT skip Espirito Santo, the state has some of the largest and best preserved Atlantic Rain Forest in Brazil (World). Espírito Santo is known for its tropical beaches and mountainous nature preserves. Founded in 1551, the capital and port city Vitória has a compact colonial-era center. Across narrow Vitória Bay lies Vila Velha, site of Praia da Costa, a famous beach getaway, and to the 16th-century Penha Convent are a must visit if you are in the area. If you plan to maybe in a possible future build yourself a little area where you can live and make some money that is close to the coast and yet in the mountains, then look no further than Espirito Santo where travel time from a gorgeous coast to the mountains is around 30 minutes and I mean Gorgeous. There`s a place in the city of Guarapari (beautiful coast in the state) called Buenos Aires that sits in beautiful vegetation and high hills and yet overlooks the ocean!! 😍😍

I simply ADORE Paraty, and considered retiring there (taxes in Brazil make it hard for US retirees, double taxation). I was hoping to see more of the town. Two fun facts abt Paraty: 1) you may have noticed that there's a step to get into any building there. When it's high tide, the water runs into the area. The builders decided to maintain that feature so that the high tide would clean the streets daily. This also why the streets are always wet. If you pay attention, the streets are U-shaped precisely to keep the water away from the doorways. 2) The man who would be the Emperor of Brazil lives there! Yes, Brazil is the only country in America with a bona fide royal family. I saw a video on KZbin about him at some point. His house is, obviously, to die for. On a related note, Montreal is the only walled city in the continent. No need to go to Europe to see walled cities and frolic with royalty. Lol 😂😂😂

Soooo disappointing. Anywho we decided to work temporarily, bought a 5 acre property to be able to escape too just in case and relax until the chaos subsides a bit. We just travel in our area and come back when we are ready to relax. We started the whole KZbin thing but felt we were always with camera and not enjoying the experience more. A little explored place in Brazil is the state of Espírito Santo. Here we have a huge Atlantic Forest preservation area. For more than 100 years, Deforestation was banned to form a green barrier and protect gold in the interior of the country, mainly Minas Gerais. This delayed development in the state, but provided the preservation we have today. I suggest the Pedra Azul region in the city of Domingos Martins; the Poço do Egito in Iúna; and the city of Santa Tereza, the first city in the country colonized by Italians and which has a biological reserve with many hummingbirds and biodiversity. I mentioned some places, but the state is very rich in attractions involving nature. Not to mention the 250 miles of coastline with over 100 machinic beaches.

The Rio 'postcard' may be a must see, but this place is much more you. Same for me and my wife, we prefer the quiet places. Also don't feel like you have too go to as many spots as possible, the magic is in the journey and you're already living it.

Those little monkeys sure are social and very cute. Are they marmosets? All the tanagers and other birds in your video are certainly spectacular. I enjoy the wildlife you film! That van you have is really something! What a beautiful vehicle. It looks comfortable too! All the best! I hope you'll find a great place to retire when you're ready. Brazil looks great to me.

Guys, I’m from Rio de Janeiro. I was born and lived there for a great parte of my life. As we say in Brasil “Rio is not for beginners”. As you mentioned that you want to drive thru RJ I suggest you travel in a “expedition mode” with more than one RV. Do not trust Google Maps or Wase (they sometimes indicate shortcuts thru very dangerous outskirts of the city. Travel with locals. Be safe.

The interesting part in Paraty is the Freemason symbology at the facade of some houses. Some houses have the scale 1:33:33, the three pilars of stone found at some corners, and so on. Like in Washington D.C., we can see the presence of the old fraternity. Enjoy it.

Hei Snow and Curt. Your videos are great, you are really good in making us interested in your adventure. I hope this comment reach out to you. I see how you guys like nature and animals. If you are still in Rio, you can get to know the Maned Wolf (or Guará wolf as we call him) in the neighbor state of Minas Gerais. There is actually a place here where you can have a night encounter face to face with the wild Guará. That place is named "Santuário do Caraça". Also there is a lot of history and nature in the mountais of Minas Gerais. I bet you would really enjoy visiting the state. I wish you a good travel through the world! :-)

Hi Snow and Curt - I just joined and will go back to see yr previous videos . I spent a total of about 12 yrs in Brazil and it was a wonderful time. Now I am using my Brazilian Portuguese to communicate with the ‘natives’. I have been living in the Lisbon/cascais area since arriving here in 1986! I am Swedish and I am OLD 😊
