Just one correction, those sim cards that you bought are not black market sim cards, they are completely legal prepaid sim cards, what happened is that the store that you tried to buy them they only sell sim cards with a subscription, and the ones that you bought are prepaid sim cards that do not need a subscription and because of that do not need an ID to buy them, it just was hard to find them because those days it is hard to find anyone with a prepaid sim card since subscription plans are cheap and more convenient.

My dad: "You let some one else worry about the rain forest". Me: "Someone needs to". The show put it in very understandable context, even for someone that is not an environmentalist.

As a Brazilian I must say that this is very sad considering that several countries have destroyed their forests to make room for polluting factories and that Brazil has to bear this and with several attacks while other countries continue to make money from their factories
@samueldeoliveira71132 жыл бұрын
As a Brazilian I say we already worry about our animals and forests so you guys don't need to.

LovinTexas Who is most concerned with environmental preservation in the world is Brazil. So much so that much of Brazil is very well preserved. The law in Brazil says that only 20% of a rural property in the Amazon can be exploited, the other 80% must be preserved. Outside the Amazon, a minimum of 20% of preserved area is mandatory, as well as the entire water margin. Farmers are most interested in conservation; and the most active in it. A lot of misleading advertising is made about Brazil, because our production has high productivity and low cost. Thus, the governments of other countries have to impose tariff sanctions on Brazilian food and/or help local producers in their countries so that they do not go bankrupt. Unfortunately this makes food more expensive for you.

Loving these first impressions of western Brazil. We'll be heading the same way towards Sao Paulo when we get down there. But I don't think we'll be looking forward to Peru other than a few archeological sites. Also we LOVE Brazilian Food😃👍❤️👏 Sending Best Wishes and Blessings, James and Kim

Those places after at 16:50 weren't Amazonia any more. It's the beginning of a landscape called "Cerrado". It's composed naturally by small trees, lower grass and vegetation, and a dry climate in general. That's the opposite of Amazon, which has taller and older trees and fully humidity, for example. The main business in Cerrado is creating cows in those ranch houses (farms). Most of those cities closest to that border with Peru and Bolivia, and Cerrado area, are poor cities, and almost full dedicated to rural business. You can try to speak a slower Spanish in Brazil, because the main words in both are the same and "understandable". Good trip! And welcome to this amazing country! 🇧🇷

As a brazilian, the thing I notice between portuguese and spanish is that a person who speaks one of these languages can understand the other but not speak it the right way. Overall, they are pretty similar, with the excepcion of some words that are written in similar ways but mean different things.

For a mix of rural and urban, traditional and modern, history and beautiful landcapes, I recommend you go to Minas Gerais state. Hit the cities of Ouro Preto (basically a travel back to the 18th century), Belo Horizonte, Capitólio, Tiradentes etc Also: The best food in Brazil and that's unanimous

Sim cards you purchased are not black market, they are legal. But here comes an advice if only they were illegal you were not suppose to be purchasing these things. Thanks and Good trip !!

Those police officers that you found are the PRF (Policia Rodoviaria Federal) or federal highway police, you will find them on all highways in Brazil, they basically do ostensible policing on Brazilian highways, they work a lot on border highways because there are a lot of drug trafficking and weapons that enter Brazil through them, in the cities you will find military or municipal police, you don't need to be afraid of the police in terms of corruption, if you have all the documents and the maintenance of the car up to date, you they won't have any problems and the police are very receptive to helping anyone in need.
