I just went a month ago and the police in Sonoyta are ruthless and extorted us by saying we were driving with open alcohol containers. They demanded a bribe and made us drive into an alley where a $100 buck bribe turned into all of our cash on hand.

Just came back this weekend, got pulled over twice by the cops for infractions that didn't occur - I can careless about roads, I'm more concerned about their police activity with tourist.

Puerto Penasco is very expensive now they want tips like crazy $300 a night for hotel and employees expect big tips restaurants also it’s US prices plus big tips and they aren’t even clean Vegas or San Diego is cheaper safer and cleaner these people see you as Dollar not person they will do anything and everything to get any money they can
