I already own Wacht Am Rhine and A Time for Trumpets. Based on your having played these and this game. Is it worth it to also purchase Ardennes 44

I think Ardennes '44 is a whole heap easier to learn, understand, and play. I also think it's the most fun of the three because there's less rules overhead. It's not a monster game, but still takes 15-25 hours to play. That said, it's also the least 'realistic' as the other two go into far more detail.

Thanx I guess I’ll get it then.

Nice summary! My main go to game for Ardennes is Enemy Action since I mostly play solo but I like to see how other games handle this battle.

I love EA:Ardennes, but every time I return to it I have to encounter that large learning curve all over again. I find it easier to return to Ardennes '44 as most of the rules are easy to grasp. I reckon I'd play EA:A a lot more if it were easier to get going with [my fault for not playing it enough!].

@@WiseGuyHistory I know what you mean! I always need to refresh the rules and sometimes I get things mixed up with Enemy Action Kharkov.
