Had this exact problem with my Saab 9-5 with the handbrake. It can happen to any car with cable manouvered handbrakes. It's a combo of weak return springs on the handbrake shoes if it's a drumbrake style handbrake, and a cable with no lubrication that get's rusty and frayed up on the part that is ran outside of the sleeve

Welded diff Volvo 745 and my Mazda 626 that's just a boring but economical daily

The screw stayed because the air pocket created at the back of the car as all the wind rolls over it. Kind of impressive that aerodynamics can do that. But there was for sure some luck too because that would only explain it at highway speeds at slow speeds idrk.

I never used my handbrake in my LP640. Just parked in gear and put it in neutral before starting. The brake is worthless in that car. Be careful using the handbrake in neutral on a hill. Sketchy.

Apparently any car with a gas mileage over 40L/100km, the Exorcist apparently has at least 55L/100KM, can not be registered here due to environmental concerns. And it exceeds the tuning regulations' limitations in terms of extra power on a stock chassis.
