I have a 2024 Rubicon Extreme Recon (35 inch tire package) in Anvil except it’s a 3.6L 8-speed auto. I bought it in October of 2023. I have almost 20k miles on it. This is an amazing Jeep! (I had a 2021 Rubicon for comparison) The 2024 is better in literally every way. It tows more, it’s quieter, steering is tighter, gets almost 20 mpg, blue tooth connectivity is flawless…I could go on and on! If anyone was thinking about buying a Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator I’d buy the 2024 model!

One hell of a video! I bought a 24 392 for 16k off MSRP. I came from a 2015 JKUR with the 6 speed. What a freaking change…. Perfect combination of off road prowess but still got a nice comfort almost luxury feel once inside. Hope to see you on the trails! 🍻

24 Rubicon 392 should have always come with 35's. Adding the Taser features makes it perfect

I got the 24 4xE Rubicon in Earl. Love the color. Looks so different in different lighting conditions

We love our 2022 XR. 37 inch KO2s on it now and a warn winch. I’ve driven 1000’s of jeeps (used to be a Mopar tech)- This is the best wrangler. And I really prefer the black and gold color scheme for 21-23. The red seats just don’t look as good imo! But it isn’t too bad with the Earl color. Great video, cheers!

Just a cheet sheet on putting the 392 in forced two wheel drive, I've got a 23 392 extreme recon, I got the tazer and put it in two wheel drive, but I started noticing the 4wheel drive light blink every now and then when driving normal streets, and especially when on highway, reached out to tazer with the issue, never any response other than they will look at it, so I reached out to someone else whom I know would know the answer, I was told everytime you see that light flickering, your ECM is trying to override the forced command and you are burning your clutch plates in the transfer case, so I don't ride around in two wheel drive anymore, and I even checked the fluid which didn't look like it should or smell as it should so I changed it. My contact said that they cannot override the ECM, because they are not working on the can bus, so the computer will always be trying to override it. I'm not taking that chance, just thought I'd let you know cause I like your channel, and transfer cases aren't cheap, nor will warranty cover it when they see clutch plates scored

I’ve been using forceRWD for years in my 21. I change the fluid regularly and it looks brand new. You can look up my Instagram account and see a video of when I did it last. Mine and every other 392 I’ve ever been in does the light flicker occasionally as well. I’ve talked to quite a few people familiar with this transfer case and what the Tazer is doing. What you’re saying is the first I’ve ever heard of anyone claiming that the clutches are suddenly trying to engage. I’m not saying your source is wrong. I’m just saying that’s the first I’ve ever heard of that. As you know, it’s a pretty noticeable shift when you put it in ForceRWD. It’s also worth noting that the transfer case has its own control module. So, the there are a few layers of checks it has to go through before it can shift. Either way, I appreciate the note. While this transfer case has been around for years, the Tazer stuff is still fairly new in the grand scheme of things. It’ll be interesting to see long-term how it all shapes up.

With all of the parts sharing they do among the Stellantis brands, I wish Jeep would have peeked at Dodge's homework on seat comfort. The seats Dodge puts in their Chargers and Challengers with the Nappa/Alcantara are more comfortable than most couches I've sat on.

The best Jeep ever is the Rubicon gladiator eco-diesel. It will go down in history as being the greatest of all time and bring the most money ever in the future as a classic on bring a trailer.

The tazer is fantastic and ive now had the nolimitz from zautomotive on my 392 for about 2 weeks. It is esential. So nice eliminating the stupid MDS system. Id say you should order a tazer and a nolimitz the day you get a 392

Absolutely LOVE your videos. So informative and personable. Do you think it's worth it going from a 2023 392XR to this model? I love the interior upgrades. Thank you!

As I mentioned in the video, I have a 2021 XR392. I personally don't think the price increase from what I paid for mine to the new one is worth it. My dad thought it would be worth it, partly because he thought 2024 was the last year. That's obviously not the case. For me, the two big selling points are the seats and full-float rear axle. Everything else doesn't entice me enough to want to make the move. I supposed if you could get out of your 23 and into a 24 for a minimal loss, it would be worth it. It's just not so night and day that I would do it.

@@DrivingLine Thank you for the reply! I have been so back and forth and agonized over it and just can't seem to come to terms with it. I would probably lose about 20k. I could put that in mine and upgrade the suspension and tires and all of that. Just so torn. Thank you again for the advice and the video!

Great content as usual ! We have a thread going online in the Jeep forum about the 392 2024 transfer case updates. So far, no 392 transfer case failures have been reported. Have you seen a failure on a 2024 ?
@DrivingLine2 ай бұрын
I only know of one 2024 having issues (front stopped working). I never heard if they ended up swapping the case or not.

As of right now, only certain Rubicon trims get the full float Dana 44. No other models.

can you take off the side bumpers of the final edition with the metal guard?

That extra top guard actually bolts to the outer wings. You would have to remove that guard as well.

I have no idea how the tazer mini software can get an all wheel drive transfer case to operate in rear wheel drive only.

Yep! It works on the 392 and they have a module for the Ram TRX.

What about RCV’s!
@DrivingLine2 ай бұрын
I originally had a segment about those, but I decided to take it out. Mainly because I feel as though if you are just running a 35-inch-tall tire, you probably can get by without them. There's a good chance this Jeep will end up with a set down the line as well.

Am I the only one that can’t stand that big ugly screen in the middle of the dash and that huge box behind the rear view mirror? Maybe I’m too old school but the whole reason I’ve always loved the wrangler is because it’s such a natural driving experience top and drs off just you and the road or the trail. All the computers and electronics are just more that can go wrong as far as I’m concerned. Just my 2 cents
@DrivingLine2 ай бұрын
The box behind the glass bothers me way more than the new screen. Jeep uses it for the adaptive cruise control. On Wranglers and Gladiators without that feature, it's gone. After a while, you don't really notice it.
