great open and closed kinetic chain examples. Im mind blown that running is both at the same time, its so complex!

I really liked the common examples, it made it way easier to comprehend terms i had never heard of such as open and closed kinetic chain.

Thank you for the further understanding of open and closed kinetic chain.

the examples that you use to differentiate translation, rotation and general motion are very helpful in being able to map and envision the body position.

Hey I'm interested in these videos that you made,the thing that I would mention is that Show us more diagram in future video to get more visual information about biomechanics and other things😍😍

Hey Thank you so much! My TA linked your videos and now I can't stop hoping that you'd be my actual prof for BIOMEC plz come to Canada

Thank you Milly, you are too kind! Well I don't think I'll be venturing to Canada anytime soon but if you make your way down to Southern CA I'd be happy to let you sit in on a class or two.

Thank you so much for these videos, they're very helpful! 🌸 I have a question: is a leg press considered open or closed kinetic chain? And does it make a difference whether the foot panel or the chair is the thing that's moving?

A video that analyzes an athlete's movement using biomechanic principles and movements would be great to further understand this topic would be fantastic. Is that possible?

Interesting how we can define a run as both open and closed kinetic chain. Zaina Daniel

Amazing teaching, well explain . I would to do PHD on biomechanic. I concern about cricket. In sri Lanka Lot of flat foot and hamstring injury i identified in school age cticket team. Please advice on PHD topics to evaluate these topic. Thank. From sri Lanka Chanaka

Which would you consider to be the ideal biomechanics book for an undergraduate Physios?
@DrJacobGoodin2 жыл бұрын
The textbook linked in the description is great as far as biomechanics goes! But for a physio, you'll of course need in-depth anatomy, movement, and pathology courses as well.

Interesting how some exercises are not always strictly "open" or "closed" kinetic chain exercises. You have to think about the limbs and distal segments involved and their individual movements.
