I was brought to Christ in a fellowship that had the structure of discipling. We had very clear direction to study daily, pray daily, fellowship daily, share the witness of our faith daily. As in the instruction in the Book of Acts "They devoted themselves to the Apostles teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." ............ Thank you Dr Tour for bringing to peoples attention the absolute need continue in the initial commitment and revelation of Christ. The plague on our modern Church is the complacency of the Church (in general) to discipline people unto the word of God. This is NOT legalism. It is necessary to continue on the path we are called to. To develop to maturity in our faith. The Church, The Bride of Christ, The Kingdom of God, the Bride of Christ is our refuge OUT of the dark world. "We are a royal priesthood...That WE may declare the praises of HIM who called us out of the darkness unto HIS wonderful Light." WE must be devoted to one another we must be identified with Christ and his Kingdom which dwells among and within us.

I have been experiencing a hypomanic episode. For the life of me I am unable to sit still, focus my thoughts are rapidly cycling through everything under the sun, and I have an irrepressible compulsion to express all my thoughts. It is difficult for me to sleep at night and I do feel somewhat a sense of euphoria and battle with delusions !!!!!

Why doesn’t Jim publish his critiques on OoL in peer-reviewed journals? It’s not like you can’t publish critiques in reputable journals. For example, I read 2 critiques in Nature & Angew. Chem. about how a tri-thorium cluster made by Stephen Liddle’s group didn’t display aromaticity despite the original paper saying it did. Why is it OK to publish critiques about that topic but not OoL if both involve science? Critiques mentioned: Bonding in a Crystalline Tri‐Thorium Cluster: Not σ‐Aromatic But Still Unique, [{Th(C8H8)Cl2}3]2− is stable but not aromatic

6 years ago, Dave Farina made a video called “Origin of Life on Earth” in which he basically said that life came about via abiogenesis. If Jim was as passionate about OoL as he says he was, why didn’t he make a video debunking him then? Why wait till Dave specifically talked about him? Why is Jim willing to let people defend abiogenesis, but the second Jim gets made fun of, it’s suddenly not OK to defend abiogenesis?

Jim explicitly said he’s not talking to the scientific community about OoL. How does he plan on doing that if he refuses to interact with non-scientists because “non-scientists don’t understand science”. He uses this claim as a reason to never debate anyone like Dave Farina, who is not a scientist, again. Won’t interacting with non-scientists while trying to get the scientific community to accept life didn’t come about via abiogenesis require debating and engaging with non-scientists?

Is he speaking in front of a crowd? Doesn’t look like he is, considering he never shows his crowd or any sounds coming from the audience. There’s probably a wall in front of him and he pretends to interact with people in the audience. Pretty insane

@ianlee5812 peer review in each area seems to be biased and critiqued by its own area researchers. I don't put any stock in papers in OOL get reviewed by OOL Scientists. That's probably one of the reasons we are in the current environment of overblown and hyped researched that suggests life has already been made a lab.
