Thanks for posting this video. This issue is effecting every single Walkera X350 out there. Even the Devo-FCS350 flight controller. But after getting this issue taken care of and checking all of the soldering, this is a dependable quad.

I see you changed your battery plug to XT60's also. I did the same thing. The banana plug that comes with the X350 has melted once the connections get loose. Also I've seen people running prop guards that cause the motors to load up with all of the prop resistance and will draw a ton of current melting the banana plug. Awesome job!

Thank you sir!

I've been using xt60 for a long time, now all batteries are compatible.. people get scared when you have to heat up the iron :) They just plug in and out easier imo

Right. Ther are a better plug for sure.

I am wondering why walkera don't make the quad to switch in RTH mode when it reaches critical voltage values instead of just turning the motors in mid air. I might try to change the values like you did from your previous video (mission planner) and see what happen. Thank you.

I did a big no no and shorted out all four speed controller boards and motors by using the longer prop guard screws to replace the shorter motor mounting screws when I removed the prop guard form my Walkera QR X350 Pro. I purchased new speed controllers two CW and two CCW. The motors had no marking of any kind so I order four all the same model number. After installing everything I started it up and found all the motors rotate in the same CW direction. Question: I'm guessing there is a difference in the motors but I can only find (Walkera Part QR-X350 PRO-Z-06-B Brushless motor WK-WS-28-008C). When ordering these motors there was no question as to which direction the turned and no markings on the motors but they all turned to the right of CW. Is there a different motor for the CCW rotating for the Walkera QR X350 Pro.

I just did a major mod to my 350Pro because I have broken several frames that turned out to be wires disconnecting from the stock ESCs . I decided to get a stronger 330 frame, EMAX MT2213 Motors, 30A ESCs and a FrSky receiver. I then pulled the Devo-M, GPS, compass, and 350Pro legs from the old frame and built the new one. It actually configured nicely and feel fairly sturdy. I like the 350Pro body because it hides all the guts so I might move back to it, but let me get to my question. With this new build I have the ESCs connected to the Devo-M controller and supplying the 5V power. I am not using the 350Pro power board. I currently have all 4 ESCs providing power, which I know some say you shouldn't do, but I am getting a different strange error that I think is related to your video and I would appreciate your thoughts. When I power up the quad, the left LED blinks fast for the first few seconds, then it kicks back to a slow blink which just goes and goes. I noticed that if I hook up the Devo-M to Mission Planner via the USB cable the LEDs do NOT do this. I am able to arm and fly the quad, but on my first 3 minute test flight, both LEDs started flashing fast and it landed. I disconnected the battery and it measured at 48% (it wasn't full when I started so this isn't the issue). I then reconnected it and attempted to fly, but it immediately went crazy and tried to do a circular land... meaning it was just flying by itself and came down and both LEDs flashed quickly. I then put two and two together and reallize that the Devo-M must think the battery is low. I have the low voltage in Mission Planner set to 10.1 volts so it shouldn't have been that low. Then I see your video and realize that I have NOTHING connected to the Power Check pins on the Devo-M. Would you recommend that I connect power from one of the ESCs to this, or somehow disable it in Mission Planner for testing and then physically disable it somehow by supplying it with voltage. Anyway, your thoughts on this would be great! Thanks, Don C

Hello, I have recently purchased a new QR X350 PRO and I am not a tech guy with many tools. I am trying to do some research before I attempt to fly and possibly crash my new toy. I just want to make sure that this LVC mod applies to the new X350 and also I am wondering if i can used electrical tape as I do not have the means to sodder the wires. Thank you.

+Adam Fuller There's a couple versions of the x350 out, this is for the devo m flight controller and the x350 pro. I wouldn't recommend black tape alone because you definitely don't want it to come loose mid flight.

I have a question about calibration sir. I have calibrated many times the compass but can't seem to get GPS hold or RTL to work. I can only fly in manual any ideas would really be appreciated
@SiriusPilot7 жыл бұрын
Plug into mission planner with props off and flip your switch to make sure the flight mode changes, check to make sure the compass is rotating when you rotate the quad if that all works you might want to put some copper tape under the gps module, I think i have a very short video about how to do that, if that doesn't work let me know

My 350pro is having some problems. Ok my quad has about 6+ GPS lock. My Loiter and RTL doesn't work I don't know why so I try compass calibration and Live calibration and I also updated to 1.7 and still the quad Loiter and RTL do not work, it just go crazy and fly in circles. Sorry about my bad English and grammar but please help me.

It's not exactly clear in this video, when you cut the two wires to make four ends, then solder 1+1, then 1+1, and then cover with shrink wrap, are you then connecting the 11+11 all together, aka shorting all ends together?
@SiriusPilot9 жыл бұрын
Nope, all you do is short two the wires from the one servo plug
@NaturalBornGriller9 жыл бұрын
so white is disconnected at the board and red/white from plug and red from board are connected together? Meaning the white (signal) on the controller is reading 5~v all the time (except when it drops of course)?
@SiriusPilot9 жыл бұрын
+Diz Awn yes you just solder the red and white together from the board then the red and white from the cable then all of them together, you can see it at 4:01
@davidanthonybatten91508 жыл бұрын
So its, cut the white and red wire and them solder them inline with each other and plug back into the Devo M 'Check power slot' is it. Because the video doesnt confim exactly this?????
@SiriusPilot8 жыл бұрын
David Anthony Batten check out the freeze frame at 4:00, you put all 4 together

Looking at getting a 350 pro, is this the only fix? Not sure I want to start cutting wires on a new quad.
@SiriusPilot9 жыл бұрын
DwayneACowie yeah its the only way to be sure, you can put a servo connector in line in case you want to undo it but I don't see the point in that. The mod is something that should be done, its safe and easy.

Is there any way to disable this voltage cut off in mission planner without having to do this mod??

yes but virtual is not as reliable as physical

Maybe your the man who can tell me why, my motors have gone erratic on my QRX350 pro. The motor 1 was erratic ( and the other motors at other times ) and it blew the 2 x chips components on the ESC next to the Red wire. I bought a new motor and a new ESC and soldered them altogether. Powered her up on the carpet all ok. Took here outside for a flight, as I went to take off the new ESC chips caught fire in the same place next to the red wire and its ruined again? Im so stuck and stressed? I wonder if you can help and how come anyone understands these flipping things? All I want is the lovely film from flying?

C Fowler I did the soldering this morning on 4 wires, battery was 11.2 V but I noticed that the blades stop spinning ( not suddenly like before ) like if the battery was draining too fast but I checked the voltage after this and it was above 10 V. I noticed that the 2D gimble worked better but not sure if has anything to do. Any advise ? ( I'm charging the battery for a few hours and re-test )
