Kalmah is one of the most underrated metal bands!!! I wish they would go on a world tour with Children of Bodom (and if Norther could re-form for the occasion and also be on that tour, it would be godly!!!)... They share so many fans and they would get to play much bigger venues. I have had the honor to open for them once with my old band in 2011 and they were awesome both on and off stage. I saw them again this year, amazing as always.

jmbullet at one point in time. Bodom, Kalmah and Norther were 3 of the best metal bands in the world. Bodom sucks now and Norther sucked before they broke up. Kalmah are still kicking ass \m/

Being a COB fan I'm telling you COB sucks now. Kalmah & insomnium will ahead with Finnish Melodeath 🤘

From the USA when I got into metal at age 16 (back in 2003) it was: Kalmah, Bodom, Norther, and a little later Ensiferum and then the whole folk/viking metal wormhole. I just saw Kalmah in Canada for the third time on this tour (Toronto) drove 5 hours from Pittsburgh.

@@thewonderer9551 : COB's newest album Hexed is amazing! But yeah, the fifteen years since AYDY and Hexed have been shit. But Kalmah has never produced a bad album and yet their live performances aren't as good as COBs....

@@Charles_Anthony At least Kalmah is maintaining their consistency. What the use of bringing some shit album & doing great live shows. Ultimately people will not like it in long term.

literally everyone. that atonal chuga chuga "nu metal" you probably grew up with isn't actually metal, marketing executives just used the word "metal" in the newly created rap rock subgenre to hang on the coattails of the wildly successful 80s heavy metal bands like Metallica, Megadeth, and Iron Maiden for example. All of whom are incredibly melodic.

Ew no, don’t let the mainstream touch my precious death metal, they’ll ruin it for sure haha

@@macroglossumstellatarum3068 I would never want Kalmah to be part of the weak establishment of corporate Hollywood music. Hell no... But, it would be nice for highly skilled bands like this to only be guest on live television just to show the world good music exist... That would be nice and embarrassing towards anything that is music from Hollywood. I even think many would turn on many so call celebrity musicians with no talent... It would be nice to show the world that real pros exist not just celebrity bands that make millions of dollars for getting their stuff played everywhere (yet hit the same 2 to 3 chords, lip sing, and pretend playing on t.v.). Kalmah would put them to shame.

Mr. Dr. Light, sir. You make the best live videos of the bands. You have the best live videos of Kalmah that exist on the internet. As I hope you have already learned, Kalmah with Ensiferum are coming back to North America in November. While I will be attending nearest my hometown of Pittsburgh to the show in Reading, Pennsylvania, I seriously look forward to your video work of that tour when they hit Montreal. PLEASE do as many songs as you can!!!!! Full sets if possible!!!!!!!!!!!!
