I go thrifting so my cats can eat off of Johnson Brothers, Mikasa and Noritake. Might as well since they split the set. It was all over the store! I was surprised the Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl was so cheap. It’s fun to decorate with that. In Copenhagen through the 80’s and 90’s the prices were so high. And I’ve found Royal Doulton pieces that I got at Harrods and I almost fainted when I saw the tag. I think many collectors passed and the families didn’t care enough to see what they had. My mother received that same Johnson Brothers' set for Christmas in 1979. It made for a beautiful table scape. Each piece depicted its own historical vignette.

The problem with these older dishes is they can’t go in the microwave. Myself, I only put Pyrex measuring cups in the microwave but your family members will ruin them for you because they don’t know or don’t care.

I have a painting it pulled out of the trash. St. Pats in NYC with a tall office building behind it. I think the building is the focal point. It was found in their trash. Dated 1971 but I can’t figure out the artist signature. How can I find someone who can help?
