I know many of us can relate to feeling disconnected from each other, the natural world, and the things that really matter in life. So how did we lose our way and how can we make better sense of the world? It takes some inner work but also means cultivating truth and connecting with community, in order to reshape our narrative and change the collective conversation and state of the world. Today on The Doctor’s Farmacy, I have a deep conversation on rediscovering meaning with Jamie Wheal, about reclaiming our inner passion, courage, and conviction.
Jamie Wheal is the author of Recapture the Rapture: Rethinking God, Sex and Death In a World That's Lost Its Mind and the global bestseller Stealing Fire: How Silicon Valley, Navy SEALs, and Maverick Scientists Are Revolutionizing the Way We Live and Work and the founder of the Flow Genome Project, an international organization dedicated to the research and training of human performance.
This episode is brought to you by ButcherBox, FOND Bone Broth, and InsideTracker.

By making your mental health and personal growth a priority, you will heal much faster. I understand that this can be hard to do, especially if you have little ones to look after. However, if you do have little ones to look after, it’s even more crucial that you take care of yourself first. This is so you are fully able to take care of others. 💙KZbinr That Helps People Overcome Toxic Relationships

Nice, ok, I can feel it .. I'm keeping a fire going for 4 days with others to help a relative of my buddies family to do a 4 day fasting Visual quest. I did an inner search on Yom kippur to see wear I'm at and going and I will be wearing shades cause the future is so bright even if it's all wrong at the moment... It's the journey with solutions an people in my life and the patience to keep moving forward as the clock ticks...

The conversation is about personal healing and group connection; two elements sorely lacking in our modern day experience. Seems like a lot of people in the comments here are focusing on the wrong elements of this talk. Perhaps, even this, is a sign of the overall toxicity we are all subject to on a daily basis. It’s time to reconnect.

Your use of "alt right" to generalize and defame is lazy and ignorant.

Great content but so tired of people vilifying "old white males." Why racialize and genderize everything?

58:00 You two need to relax and stop soiling your drawers about the loss of some essential part of humanity. We might never grow old "in body," but we'll still get killed in accidents, a bullet to the head will still kill us, and we'll still be overcome with despair or boredom or just fatigue. We'll still do these things even if it takes us to our 300yr birthday before we say, "yeah, I think I'm done, this isn't interesting anymore." Do not allow your personal philosophical aesthetics to ruin things for other people who might want to live differently or far longer than you.

Affective neuroscience conceptually embraces the Triune Brain; as to where heartache shuts down the neocortex and limbic system; making one reliant on the reptilian. Cannabis also has this effect in displacing necessity on the other 2.

Would you be happy to expand on that, are you saying cannabis has the same affect as heartache? I don’t have any understanding of neuroscience but it’s so interesting

@@honeyb8997 I'm saying psychostimulants can serve to suffice solidarity living conditions without mandatory reliance on the neocoetex (speech, logic, higher thinking skills) and limbic system (emotions), relying only on instinct, survival. Autism is seen in "automated" adherence to sanctioned stimuli.
