Jamie Wheal is the Executive Director of The Flow Genome Project and a leading expert in the neurophysiology of human performance. His work combines a background in expeditionary education, wilderness medicine, and surf rescue, with over a decade of advising high-growth companies on strategy, execution, and leadership. Jamie’s coaching ranges from Fortune 500 companies like Cisco, Google, and Nike, to the U.S. Naval War College, and Red Bull. Since founding the organization in 2011, it has gone on to become a leading voice of evidence-based peak performance, counting award-winning academics, legendary professional athletes, special operations commanders, and Fortune 500 business leaders among the hundreds of thousands of people in its global community.
You’ll find Jamie speaking on the intersection of science and human potential to diverse, high-performance communities like Young President’s Organization, Summit Series, TED, and MaiTai Global. At the Flow Genome Project, he leads a team of the world’s top scientists, athletes, and artists dedicated to mapping the genome of the peak-performance state known as Flow. He lives on the Colorado River with his wife Julie, their two kids Lucas and Emma, and a righteous Golden Retriever named Cassie.
Jamie Wheal is the co-author of the global bestseller and Pulitzer Prize-nominated Stealing Fire: How Silicon Valley, Navy SEALs, and Maverick Scientists Are Revolutionizing the Way We Live and Work. His upcoming book Recapture the Rapture: Rethinking God, Sex and Death in a World That’s Lost Its Mind is set to release in Spring 2021 with Harper Collins.
In his career so far, Jamie has advised everyone from the U.S. Naval War College and Special Operations Command, the athletes of Red Bull to the executives of Google, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, Cisco, and Young Presidents’ Organization.
His work and ideas have been covered in The New York Times, Financial Times, Wired, Entrepreneur, Harvard Business Review, Forbes, INC, and TEDx. He has spoken at Stanford, MIT, the Harvard Club, Imperial College, Sandhurst Royal Military Academy, the Bohemian Club, the United Nations, Singularity University, and Summit Series.
It was truly an honor to have him on The School of Greatness, and our conversion was so powerful that I had to split it into two parts! Make sure you listen to Part 1, where Jamie and I talk about how we can thrive and find meaning in a world of chaos.
But for now, join me on Episode 1,100 to learn how to heal your past and discover your full potential with Jamie Wheal!

Dude please change the person handling thumbnails of your channel. It's exactly the same everytime. "Blah blah today",. This and that today. Everything ends with today. Heal today, Become super productive today. Not only it is repetitive, it is misleading. No can heal in a day or Become fit, or productive TODAY.

There's no doubt in my mind that we are not only going bull, but BTCis going nuclear. A lot of people are wondering if now is a good time to buy because of where the price is at right now. I'd say it's outrightly wrong to just sit back hodl and wait maybe incur some losses along the line, that's a wrong mindset for an investor because as an investor finding ways to always increase and stack up more coins thereby making prof!ts should be the way of life, even experienced traders are in a doubt to take long or short position. I have been more skillful than lucky to be honest also thanks to Daniel wright who trained me as my initial investment was multiplied so much In two months. After getting in touch with Daniel wright an exp:ert in cryptography, who showed me how to use his program to make transactions and got 7 btc in 2 moths with him. if you are looking for a way to increase your portfolio or investment. I listen to podcasts for 12 hours a day, 6 days a week for the past 10 years. This guy is definitely in the top 3 most captivating speakers I have heard to date. Why does he not have his own podcast? We must force this man at all costs, do whatever he demands to get him in a studio and just talk. I don't care about what, just talk.

"I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day." Thank you E.B. White. I rather thought I was just losing my mind altogether. Jamie Wheal you have twice snapped me out of the self-indulgent fugue state I enter when I let the state of affairs get the upper hand momentarily. When my conviction goes behind a particularly dark cloud and I want to cry, hug my children and blame someone rather than take the next small step in my own evolution as I know we each must, there is ALWAYS a voice that comes out of the wilderness to say "Get up! Remember what you're working toward and let the rest go for now." Without those voices I would have long since dissolved into the problem and I thank you and Lewis for sharing this great conversation!

The 3 1/2% exist. We are wide awake...literally. As much as I appreciate and value these conversations and the tremendous insights shared and fleshed out, the solution is not going to spontaneously combust between people for whom the current system works, on ANY LEVEL. That is not the way revolutionary ideas have manifested historically, nor does it make sense that one would. There is a paradigm shift, a relatively simple solution, racing itself on a treadmill inside the mind of someone who has no influence and even less tolerance for bullshit. Expand the conversation and the answer will rise like the proverbial cream. Thank you both for all your efforts thus far! ❤🤍🖤💛

Jamie and Lewis, as you talked about the Vagus nerve and that releasing of bodily functions, I was struck by this idea. Childbirth has to be THE most incredible reset for a woman's body. The feeling of the child growing near the vagus nerve, and then the birth itself -- my GOD, what an incredible feeling of release and relief! Such a religious experience. I know it was for me. I wish I could have had more children. Could it be some of the mental health issues with women is they are just not resetting their bodies through the act of procreation and childbirth? Amazing content! Jamie I bought your book immediately! 😊📚

Over-information, not quality controlled...makes it hard to trust the infinite balance in the universe. Best we can do is be more selective and conscious of what we consume mentally and manifest emotionally. There's always something in the internal locus of control we can do. I tru to remind myself every morning I wake up feeling crap. I want more social connection and appreciate the simple things in life without the rest distracting me. It's easy to connect to any place in the world these days...but what's the benefit to worry about disaster going on across the world, when our personal environment is safe. It can trick our brain into fear. Adjust the content you consume daily, and work on any type of social connection with mutual benefit. You'll feel better 🙏✌❤ -PS good discussion, helpful information. There's repeating concepts and basic wisdoms amongst the chaos of information and potential outcomes. That's what I look for, and strive to be self sufficient these days without being greedy or codependent. Share my time and wisdom when I can 😉✌❤

the intro to this interview really captures some of my thoughts. A lot of "success" advisers suggest emulating the morning routine and similar of today's billionaires when in reality many billionaires success is less due to their morning routine and more due to the covert deals with the powerful, bribery, treachery, and other manipulations that their admirers don't see or don't acknowledge. Where Jamie took this to next was a head spin and I was left wondering how it connects with the intro ie. how do his healing strategies fit with the current reality that Big Pharma and Big Tech rule the world?... His answer to the three truths question is one to remember. He has an incredible intelligence and memory and an analogy/story for everything. The last one about Thor's hammer is inspiring!

Lewis, True Romans from 2000 years ago - "RAPTURE" meant the 7th year re-freshment and repair of their homes and gardens. So on the the 7th year their homes had sturdy roofs and beautiful repairs and updates. (Many Romans still practice that). It was the sick mind of religious perversionists that changed "Rapture" into something creepy. Jamie Wheal is wonderful as you are too. x

FYI For the TEXAS Electricity Issue during The Snow Week ... Our Electric Co in San Antonio gave us $9 Credit to our $300 & up electric bill 😂 It was a joke ... for all that the citizens of Texas had to juggle just to survive. Some people went with food going bad or no food, looking for a place to stay,, some couldn’t leave their homes because of the snow and died due to already ill, children and elderly got very sick, due to covid there wasn’t enough warm shelters, water was scarce... so it was a joke to even offer $9 for one day without electricity. But thanks to the eating places that were in the hospital grid that had electricity. When the roads became open most of them stayed open & gave cheaper prices. It was a nightmare, children will never wish for SNOW ⛄️ AGAIN... hahaha Very interesting 🧐 information. Lots of food for thought. Blessings to everyone.
