My parents own a dairy farm. I grew up on the farm. My Dad brought me out to the round up spreader and went into this whole speech. He said, "DO NOT TOUCH OR INTERACT WITH THIS MACHINE OR THIS ROUNDUP! Stay inside every day that you see me doing this. This crap (the round-up) will kill bugs and it will kill you. The way it kills the bugs is by blowing up the bug intestines. DO NOT believe anyone who tells you this crap is safe for humans." He then went on to say that the milk cooperative forced him to use the "Recommended" amount of the round-up and the way they knew that the farmers were using the Recommended amount is by testing the amounts of round-up levels in the milk... The milk that tested low in round-up would get dumped and the farmers wouldn't get paid. So if my Dad didn't use it and the low round-up milk got mixed in with all the other local farmers milk... And then the whole communities milk got dumped... Personally I think the milk cooperative was/is taking kick backs from the pesticide company.. It is just frustrating knowing this and having friends and inlaws who think I'm a crazy person because I am sooooo picky about the food I eat.

Dr. H, I do not understand why functional doctors, holistic, chiropractic, functional nutritionalists, biological dentists, naturopathic, and herbal practitioners don't set up their own tent health insurance company for the public to choose from. I neither like or condone conventional insurance and conventional doctoring practices, which totally limits what we can have. And, I certainly do not like being forced into paying into such a system ... because that is the only choice. So, please gather with your associates and try to do something to change the system to offer us more choices. This is the only thing that will finally push changes in modern medicine and doctoring to a progressive mode to treat for disease prevention, cures, functional medicine. And, when one really thinks of it, employers do want their employees to be more functionally performing. They will get on board with this to, in offering such choices. Functional medicine should not be for only the wealthier substrate of society that can afford it out of their immediate pocket. 🙏
@lindacollinsthomas51264 жыл бұрын
Thank you duck chorus. This kind of creative exploration is exactly what our country's medical system needs. Let's get this important dialogue going. We desperately need to get free of the locked in insurance controlled medical payments and pharmacy dominated treatments we now have to live and die with. I'm heartsick with seeing how many friends and loved ones simply fall through the cracks and die eventually of "complications related to heart, liver, kidney, etc problems" in their obituaries. I certainly would prefer to have enough of an income to pay out of pocket for wellness guidance and make my own health care choices. But that is not possible because it usually involves travel, a cross over use of my medicare coverage for labs with my primary care doctor, yet a lack of her commitment and understanding why I'm going outside the system she offers within her limited training from old fashioned protocols which no longer help. I believe most of my friends are sick from a sick planet and no knowledge of detoxication by diet and herbals. We are on our own to treat ourselves with whatever free advice we here on such blogs as this, and hope for the best.

Once you get to study the economics of the “3rd-party payer” health insurance industry, you will begin to form a different perspective on this. Much of the premium goes to the pockets of insurance executives. I worked in medical insurance before and our doctors were pressured to deny medicine prescription requests to save costs, for example. Wouldn’t you rather invest your money in yourself by buying good organic whole foods, and do regular detoxification modalities? Once we turn 65, Medicare will be there to help with basics.

When they're talking about supporting the detoxification pathways involving endogenous antioxidants, they don't mention that the spices they refer to are exceedingly high in oxalates. You can support glutathione production through methylated b-vitamins and methionine and N-Acetyl L-Cysteine. You do not have to ingest the spices despite the phenolic compounds ability to stimulate the endogenous intracellular antioxidants. You can also take reduced glutathione. You should also look for a magnesium glycinate as glycine is used in the production of glutathione.

Thank you for all of your work - and for sharing Dr. Hyman and (?) Ward. I started smoking pot about 3-4 years ago to ease pain from Fibromyalgia. I was cutting down because I was able to heal my Fibromyalgia and was planning on quitting. I had maybe 1 week or less to go... and then my sweet beautiful son Sean - F33 passed away 16 Feb 2023y. I started drinking and smoking nightly. I stopped drinking but, I'm still struggling to quit smoking pot (and an occasional edible). I'm trying to quit - but I don't know how to deal with this overwhelming grief - even though the pot really doesn't help with this pain at all... Also, what is the best way to detox from pot? The smoking is cut down to (I think it is a 1 g joint last almost a week. Down to the last 3 (I usually only have 1/2) 5mg edibles. So, I'd say they'll be gone within 3-6 days. I do not plan on buying anymore - and I am not on any anti-anxiety or anti-depressants. What would you recommend?

Sprayed foods (with Inerts that are reportedly benzene, xylene. toluene and naphthalene) have lower nutrients because the soil is dead. Bacteria fix nitrogen and many nutrients and most are absent in conventionally grown food. We need clean water to detox. Good bowel, good low carb diet. We need cruciferous vegetables to help detox. Our food needs to be organic so we are not detoxifying xenobiotics from past living using toxic food that also stresses our mitochondria and liver. Very lively discussion.

every ND knows about the CYPs, but an ignored 'phase1' broad-spectrum redox enzyme (the poor relation) is FMO3 (the main FMO in humans). Most carry the most common variant (E158K), and many carry the next 2 or 3. It doesn't seem to do anything important but looks like a 'dog-poop collector' to me. Not important but you notice when they are not there ! People can start having smell prooblems at maybe below 90% function (if have dysbiosis too). I reckon fmo3 plays a role in colon microbiome modulation, so dysbiosis often inevitable. atm we are stuck with TMAU diagnosis and stuck with 'very rare' label, but neither are correct. Most are transient milds.
@EACHONETEACHONE094 жыл бұрын
How do you find that enzyme in foods or supplement forms?
@l.ferrer79234 жыл бұрын
Most “smell problems” in people, especially in old age, is due to mold or fungal issue (infection). There are holistic solutions: Metagenic’s CandiBactin or MediHerb’s Gut Flora... or oregano 🌿 oil capsules. Just a few examples.

The holistic dental practice gave me a natural vitamin C drip during the procedure. Now looking back I would probably just leave well enough alone.

Why interview someone if you're not going to let them speak? I know Dr. Hyman is very healthy, but his ego needs treatment. Also, if you going to emphasize the consumption of cruciferous vegetables, be sure to be clear that these are goitrogens. Tell the audience that concomitantly it is necessary to consume sea algae or supplement with a good iodine/iodide supplement like Iodoral from Optimox.

Hi doc! I have a very healthy recipe for Collard greens & Kale that you've probably haven eaten yet😉

Can u provide recipe
@relydbrowning25703 жыл бұрын
@@elisamarro7356 so yes. I usually get the org Kale & Collard greens. This recipe has Coconut milk & Coconut cream. If you're not familiar with that, this recipe might not be yours! But here it is: 1 bag of Org Kale 1 bag Org Collard (Usually get chopped ones) 2 cans Org Coconut milk 1 Med size chopped Onions 2-3 chopped Garlic 2tbsp of thinly sliced Ginger 1tsp of oil Sauté onions, garlic, ginger w your choice of oil fir 1-2. Then add your Coconut milk.. Let it simmer for 3-5min while stirring the milk. Then add your Kale & Collard greens. Turn your heat to medium ,& let it cook for an hr or an hr 1/2. Or until the veggies are cooked enough. I like it spicy, so I would add red pepper flakes. Add gr Black pepper & salt for taste. And oh , I like adding Anchovies 😊they're kinda salty so be careful adding salt! I usually it this w white & brown rice or Cauliflower rice. Enjoy!

If you'd ask a functional doctor in Europe, how to get the appropriate amount of selenium, they'd advise you to take a supplement. Because, obviously, Brasil nuts store radioactivity. I'm not kidding.
