I've been getting great relief from the videos on your channel, for my pre-existing lumbar spine and pelvic floor issues...now today coming off one week of flu and bronchitis, this was a wonderful way to get back into practice, engage my core and pelvic floor, and gradually learn to breathe again without as many coughing fits!

Thank you so much for this video! I have been struggling with core exercises for so long. I am such a beginner all the exercises I’ve found are too hard. This was achievable and I felt I could actually connect with my core. Really excited for the rest of the challenge . Thanks

I’m been going to PT for low back pain which radiates to my butt and hips. I felt more core engage more in these exercises than the ones I was assigned. But it still is a conscious effort to make sure I try to engage the core each time. ❤

All this years I was doing the wrong breathing technique😮. I was breathing IN not OUT when lifting up during bent knee side plank🤦🏽♀️. That’s why I couldn’t hold it more than a few seconds! Wow…thank you ❤

Would this series be ok for me to do if my pelvic floor specialist only wants me to do stretching yoga/pilates moves for now as I’m too tensed down there😅
@DrMelissaOleson24 күн бұрын
It all depends on how you are doing the exercises and what you are feeling while doing them. These exercises are designed for to address all of the connections into the pelvic floor like hips, feet, spine, nervous system, and more. Breathing and positioning are key to manage intra-abdominal pressure when there is too much pressure this can create pelvic tension and tightness. The exercises are yoga based with strengthening, mobility, flexibility, and more.

Hi, a question… I’ve been doing TVA exercises and releases consistently. I really don’t know what the issue is but every so many months I feel like a loose connection down there.like I can’t feel my Pf activate. But I can feel the TVA contraction.

Is this ok for someone with pelvic floor dysfunction/ tight pelvic floor?
@DrMelissaOlesonАй бұрын
It is all about how you are doing the exercises and what you are feeling. I have clients with tight pelvic floor that do these exercises, but they can feel their breath and pelvic floor connection and know how to properly use the core and pelvic floor system.

Is this challenge safe for someone with a prolapse?
@DrMelissaOlesonАй бұрын
It's all about how you are doing the exercises and what you are feeling when doing the exercises more than what exercises. These are exercises I have worked on with my clients who have a number of pelvic floor issues to include prolapse
