with the price of electricity set to double in next year or so , having an efficient light is very important for the home grower as well as comercial growers too. really well made video & a ton of info thanks . All i will add is I have a 5x5 & on my first ever grow I achieved over 20 oz with 2 vipaspectra P2000's (400 watts) so you can achieve great results with a lot less bucks not only in original outlay but in running costs too . I do feel we all being bombarded on youtube by sponsored channels who are telling us we need bigger & bigger lights just because they earn comission for themselves & to sell more products for the light manufacturer unnecessarily...

I certainly agree that you should use light efficiently! It is the most expensive part of being an indoor gardener in several ways. The P-series are pretty efficient QBs. Love your channel and a heartfelt thanks for all the help you give to hobby growers! What about light spectrum? Meaning the quality, range of light spectrum and penetration. Isn't this important as well? I think people get too caught up on canopy top light and not realize that light is also needed for the nugs beneath the canopy. I'm not a botanist or horticulturist. Just using common sense which seems to be a dying trait in today's times. I realize that duplicating natural sunlight is very difficult and may only be achieved at great cost inefficiency. The sun doesn't just shut off certain spectrums for plant growth. Is it possible that you run tests with the factors above in mind? I have several requests for the benefit of the community: 1) Compare the quality and range of light spectrum of various lights for a 4 x 4 and 5 x 5. I believe these are the sizes that most people will use. 2) Could you also test Timber Grow Lights, Electric Sky and any other light manufacturers that you think are worthy as well in these tests. 3) Could you test different grow tents for the community? I am unaffiliated with any company. I am only interested in growing the best quality nugs for my money. Thanks again.

Truly amazing information. Can you do an updated test for Marshydro FC6500? They have a more recent version that mimics the FC8000 Diode spacing. I think Optic L.E.D should be on that list for sure. Why isn't it. I'm sure it would outperform most all these lights.

I can't decide, get the fold 8, or spend $50 more for the FC-E6500, or $100 more for the FC-E8000. Been debating for 3 days.

An important detail for a lot of people is "where is it made?" Could you please include that? I would pay extra for a light made in the USA. Excellent work, thanks.

Most of those on the list is at least Chinese company, although not sure where the lights are made from, could be assembled in the U.S Growers Choice is the only one i am familliar that is a U.S base, Photontek and Medicgrow i am not that familliar with. I used the HLG Scorpion diablo which is also a U.S based and is definitely the best one ive tried

bigpapa 1 second ago You really should’ve included the mars Hydro FCE 8000 in addition to just the FC 8000. I think model would’ve topped your list as far as cost and overall! also why don’t you have the Volt FL - 1? You should definitely test that as I have heard great things

Would there be any benefit using the FC-8000 with supplemental Co2? Excellent review btw.

I would like to see you test one of the new Spider Farmer CO2 bar style lights and then see where it would fit into your comparison chart.
