I'd like to see more organic living soil conversations. And Earth Boxes/ wicking beds. I think they'd be great for anyone but especially newer growers struggling with watering. As far as guests go, Clackamus Coot would be great. Anyone can learn from him. Great episode, thanks!!

Yeah. I started my first grow after 14 years, I think??? I started watching EVERYONE, but now I only watch hemp/weed in a pot, Mr grow it, and welcome to the grow tent for my grow questions. I watch more KZbinrs than that but those three are my go to source for information. It really feels like I’ve gotten a good quality growing education!

A great way to get rid of fungus gnats is get a couple cups of apple cider vinegar in two separate containers and stir up some soap with them. The fungus gnats will fly in, get stuck and drown.

Seems chill only thing I'd disagree with is fully drying organic soil like he described, doesn't seem good for the microbiology of the soil. Obviously we want it to dry out before watering again for pest control and preventing root rot etc but not leave it sitting dry for extended time periods even if the plant would be fine the microbiology of the soil wouldn't

WTTGT was the first KZbinr to tangibly explain how to water. "Don't overwater" is the best anyone explained it before. "Finger bang the soil down to the first knuckle" is the WORST and most common explanation. Grow Tent said fill a spare pot with soil and set it next to the crop. Compare the weight of the plant to the weight of the dry pot, and don't water until they're really close. Grow Tent was also the first KZbinr to mention a 25-50-75-100% progressive light schedule. Before WTTGT I was under the impression that flipping to flower at 1k PAR was a good thing. Using WTTGT's recipe took me from killing plants in week 5 to curing bud in 1 grow. His 43 minute video on everything you need to know from germination to curing is unquestionably the BEST how-to for anyone who isn't winning.💯

Yes Slim tower fans are a must in grow tents. I use a Honeywell black tower fan. Its suoer slim and its pedestal only takes up bout a 7 inch space. I use plastic pots transplanting multiple times starting with root riot plugs and or suoer sized 50mm jiffy pellets. Fabric pots for flower. 50/50 blend of FFHF and FFOF with additional perlite and castings and a lil bit of bonemeal. 2 inch pots with rapid root plugs Solo cups 1 gallons nursery pots 3 gallon nursery pots 5-7 gallon fabric pots for flower. Useing nursery pots will eliminate any stress whatsoever. Recharge...Recharge....RECHARGE Stuff is the best. Tip...store your Recharge in a glass Mason jar in the refrigerator door. Cuz those yellow bags are a pain in the ass and nearly impossible to close. Apera instruments PH and PPM meters are the truth.

Thanks for the video. After years and years of trial and error with many ups and downs I stumbled across WTTGT who changed everything for me. Made things so simple and easy. I’ve started growing in Octopots now which has really changed things, I haven’t had any bug problems which I’m giving credit to the fact that I no longer top water ever, which is keeping that top layer of soil dry. I also no longer have to ever worry about over or under watering as the plants just take up exactly what they needs from the roots in the reservoir as well as the media wicking up the perfect amount of water. And last but not least I’m now using half the amount of nutrients or less than when I was top watering soil. Simplicity is one of the best things you can teach new growers, I’ve got a couple friends that have just started growing with so many questions, and what’s nice is that I get to take my knowledge and help them skip some of the mistakes of how to start out and what to not waste money on and especially give them advice of where their money should go so they are setup properly and aren’t having to upgrade stuff after finding out the expensive way that they shouldn’t have cheap’d out on certain things. Sorry for rambling on but I vaped a bag of White Widow on my Sunday morning and watched this great episode lol. Cheers 🇨🇦

The only thing I don't particularly like about the community at large is when growtubers make it more about their personality/name than about the plant. Just gimme the info, show me the grow/technique/product, and what have you. I like videos like this one... I'd love to just chill and have a chat with similar-minded folks who do it for the love.

I really dont see why people transplant so much. I go from small cups straight to a 18L pot and it works a treat everytime. Why people like double handling is beyond me. Love these videos though, cheers dude

Because having the optimal pot size for the plants relative stage of growth causes the plants roots to thrive exponentially and ease of water/dry times. Also if one is useing a nutrient rich organic media then transplanting every 2-3 weeks saves on nutrients having to be added because one is transplanting to nutrient rich soil Also many people don't like useing feminized beans and only use 1 or 2 small tents so it saves on space and Noone wants to waste 5-7 gallons of soil just to find out the plant is a male. Or like I do I only keep the strongest fastest growing females to flower and donate the others. There is quite a few other pros why to use correct pot size per stage of growth. Propagating chamber 2 inch pots Seeding stage solo cups and 1 gallon nursery pots Veg 3 gallon nursery pots Flower 5-7 gallon fabric pots Typically what I use in my perpetual grow between 3 tents.

I am the same way. Plant the seed in the container that the plant will spend its life in. Transplanting every week or whatever is way too much unnecessary work.

@@timpage5021 i understand being unsure about seeds and not wanting to invest too much into soil for potentially a male plant, but even growing organically you can rub your nutrients into the soil from the top. Either way mate, if that works for you then thats great but i prefer keeping it simple and doing less work and i always get great results 👍

@Tim Page Nature disagrees with you. If you put a plant/seed straight in your garden you will have bigger plants & root system than in any pot. Only 1 transplant needed.

Great episode! I'm currently awaiting my Electric Skies for my very first grow, and I feel like watching/listening to other experienced growers TOO MUCH, can stress me out too. I've done a lot of research to grow organic, and I'm extremely excited about the techniques I "plan to" implement, and to me that's what's important. I'm sure I'll make mistakes along the way, and I'll never be afraid to ask for help, but I do feel that the KISS method is best to learn about anything/everything!

Every dispensary uses synthetics to boost yield , unless they sell an organic line. Synthetic herb is okay if you need to produce a lot and need 20%+ thc. But I prefer to have a 15-19% organic tasty bud by someone local. Rosin is even better :)
