Are you just talking about the clip/dropping mechanism? I will post a detailed video this week, but here’s a simplified answer. I just took some fishing line and added a clothes pin, to the bottom of the drone. I put a swivel from my bait rig into the pin. Then I fly the bait out and let line out. When I want to drop it I just stop letting line out and the pressure pulls the swivel out from the pin dropping the bait.

I use a phantom 4 drone way more power amd flys faster amd father fact you have a phantom 3 standerd witch is ok but doesn’t get the range of a phantom 4 drone amd I just use tape and flip the bel fly the drone father amd can lift way more to tho

Great video guys! I'm retiring to Bohol Philippines soon and looking into doing this. I'm planning on using an Air 3 which has a 17 oz payload capacity. Do you think it's enough? I figure 4-6 oz for the sinker. How heavy is your entire rig? Going out early in the morning when there is no wind, and dropping a couple of baits sounds like a fun thing for an old retired fart to do :)

We use two reels, a Penn Spinfisher V 9500 with 80lb Braid and a Penn Battle III 8000 with 65lb braid

Whats up man ive been looking for drones to deploy baits. How much can the phantom take out?

I think 12-16oz is ideal. I normally just run a 4-6oz weight and fist size bait. A couple times I did heavier and it got super sketch I definitely suggest setting up the dropping device to have a clip so the bait drops with enough pressure (similar to how I did), so worst case if it’s too heavy the bait just deploys early and the drone is fine. (This is a phantom 3 pro btw I think different models have different strengths)
