Drone Flips Out On Take Off - Fixed - Motor Remapping - Betaflight

In today's video we will go over a couple different reasons why your quad might freak out or flip out of control on take off, you arm and everything seems okay but when you apply throttle it freaks out. In my situation i have found that the motors were out of place and needed to be remapped. I will go step by step with you guys on how to remap your motors just in case you are having the same issue.

1 year and 20 builds after this video was posted, just saved my latest 3" build from getting the "hammer" lol. Could not for the life of me figure out why it kept freaking out.... 4 in 1 esc rotated 90 degrees, motors were all wrong.... Thanks drainman!!!!

thanks dude!. i had my back motors 3 and 1 switched. i fixed it and it lift off. Now it takes off on its own on the touch of throttle tho. Gotta figure out that. and she be gooood to go. (hopefully. this is a VEEERY far step ahead)

Man this has been bugging me all year long.my quad WAS doing the same flipping out on Arming.motors were fine&props etc but motors 1&3 and 2&4 were spinning in wrong order.thanks for video now all is fine.

Hey drainman you are the man and you explained it perfectly!! I was putting in emax mini magnum 2.5 f4 which you have to take apart to flip the caps and all four motors were wigging out! I had about given up until I found this video! Thanks again!!

Thanks man. It was the FC orientation and the motors LOL :) (Moblite7 with BF Update to 4.2. you have to remap the motors from ground up. Semms to give new IDs for the motors.

that was helpful, even though I re ordered the motors direction individually and everything appeared ok, I didn't have enable the "reversed", I didn't think it mattered since I re ordered them but as soon as I would lift off the drone would just fall within a second or so just because of that.

All that I believe is correct on mine. Mine arms then when I throttle up it starts to ramp up the RPM smoothly then it rips a quick full throttle and drops out. Only climbs like a foot.

Hey drainman Im having this problem now, ive went through all the rotation of props, and orientation of the quad in beta with frsky x light all is good...lowered the rpm at arm to 1020 and still flippimg its shit bro on arm....throttle values are at zero as soon as i give it throttle it goes bat shit....hopefully someone can help cause this sucks, spent yesterday and all tiday trying to figure this out....Model is Halk pro running 1700kv motors with 1500 mah batt...

just built my 5th quad, SUPER carefully....a 5 inch toothpick GEPRC 20a ESC AIO on 2203 stanfpv motors, flips instantly....default bf settings. default esc settings, all motors are correct, spin the right direction all that. accelerometer works fine, gyro seems fine i think? cant figure this one out I am stumped.

Hello. I'm having an issue when I arm my quad (while connected to beta flight or not) one of my motors ramps rpms to full and then doesn't respond to throttle control. The other 3 motors respond to the throttle normally. Any idea how to fix this?

HIi! I love your video! My drone can take off fine, and fly just like its supposed to if I am under half throttle. As soon as I raise the throttle or punch it, the quad just flips out of the air by itself. The flight controller in calibrated, motors are set up right. Do you know what could be the problem?
