excellent tutorial and review even 5 yrs later, I hope u r well. I broke out my bugs after 3-4 yrs on the shelf I was cleaning up my office and came across it. Couldn't quit remember how to bind and calibrate it and your video was the key. So thank you for your time and effort it was certainly helpful to me.

This is a great drone if you just want to go out and fly. I might add before you try to do a compass calibration wait for the controller to beep twice then you can start the compass calibration. It took me a while to figure that out. I was immediately doing it after turning on the controller and plugging in the battery and the compass calibration was not happening but after waiting for the two beeps then it's ready for the compass calibration to be performed.

I had a fathers day gift from my daughter to get me out of depression it was a bugs 3h a I had a German Shepherd for 13 1/2 years died in front of me as hours went by 8 hour in was like she parilized 1” half hour pass started with tail and it was old age. But now I have that, she bought the drone I was happy it was raining the box was dri but all dented I opened box made sure all was there. I flew all my life and boat, cars, helicopter, planes, I flew the drone in my house just fine. I took it and put a400.00 silver hero 4 and a128gig SD card. And had my family out side to watch me fly I have other drones sky viper 1750 , flys great q500. And 3dr some others. But I can fly, I had my family watching I put down in middle street stood back start, hover, 5 feet turn take pic of family turn it back around! Wanted to go 20 feet just to see around GoPro! I live in runway area I know how high I can fly I registered so I won’t take above 125 feet . But 20 foot bugs say in one spot! And waved shot strait up way past the 400 foot mark never seen it lost signal and the controller beeped. I fly over my house with a lot of.drones! Never in my life seen that! They called us my daughter lies and so I showed them proof and top guy said they would look into. I just wanted them to replace my gift. I was on a flying field with my day at 6 years old fly at 12 and this was not my cause I crashed my share and never asked for new. This was not me. So what they did! As I’m waiting for a reply! They changed and blocked my name, I’m waiting and waiting! I go look up others that the stop talking and there is a lot all over, in the review comments some remove them, but so keep, I’m waiting, Amazon says it not their problem contact MJX and so I’m waiting, and I changed my Twitter name to go see mjx and they are there and my other account shows 7/17 still. They blocked me again. So three names and still nothing, but I’m letting people know my story.

This reminds me of my Hubsan H501S which I recently sold. I agree, the GPS mode was annoying. I had a Hell of a time with my Hubsan when I first got it. Two major problems with the transmitter. Finally worked out the problems with Hubsan's assistance, but I sold it as I purchased a DJI Mavic which is nothing short of fantastic.....

If you like you can mount a $20.00 4 gram all in one 5.8ghz FPV cam to the Bugs 2 and with a $40 goggle or monitor you've got better than wifi FPV!

They've been rebranded to Force1 Specter 200. Careful when charging the LiPo batteries..some have had problems with their chargers smoking on the first charge (myself included). Poor design on charging units.

I would've loved to seen a comparison in flight time between those two. 1800 mA is pretty low for FPV drone with GPS. I know the bugs C gives you roughly 15 minutes or so but would love to know what the bugs 2W does as far as flight time. Love your channel.

Nice video. I have the Bugs 2 also and really like it. If you pull the left stick all the way down it will immediately shut off the motors, a lot faster than the red button. Thanks

I did have a Twister Quattro X but it crashed. I also got a Bugs 3 , Bugs 3 mini (great zippy flyer) and a Bugs 6!!! So call me Mr Bugs!!! Rob

This is a very fun little drone - the camera quality is OK, but not great. You will need something with a gimbal or digital stabilization to get nice arial footage. But I think you will enjoy flying the Bugs 2!

Have you ever experience a wobbling motor. I just started to see that. I check the screw holding the motors and the propellers and seem to look fine. Do you think I have to replace the motor.

Hi Rick, another really nice video. With all the quads you've reviewed; Bugs or other ones, is there one that you would recommend with or without FPV, can have GPS or not, that would be a nice quad to learn to do some simple acro-flying? Flips, rolls, split-S, etc. This would be for an adult. And I fully understand that if you don't want to make any specific recommendations. :-)

I think as long as you buy a genuine battery made by MJX RC, you should not have a problem. Gearbest, Banggood, Amazon, etc. all have genuine MJX RC parts. I'd use any of those. Happy flying!

Your videos are great. I would like to get a reasonably priced drone for filming during some of my fishing adventures, gps and gimble would be great also a follow me feature. I have a couple of action cameras, so a built in camera isn't necessary. Do you have any recommendations? I have never flown a drone before.

Those seem remarkably similar to the Hubsan 501s.

That is a good point. The GPS on this one works better than the 501s from what I observed.

Ready Set Drone my Hubsan worked great with GPS, except when I calibrated my compass on the hood of my car! The Hubsan was awesome, but IT was the final straw that drove me to a gimbaled drone and I am loving my Spark.

The Bugs2 has a micro SD card slot. You can just put the card into your computer and transfer that way.

I have three batteries but they gets to half full in less than one minute after the start of flying. Any idea why?

Two thoughts. 1 Maybe your charger is not charging properly. 2 If the batteries are old they may not be holding a full charge.

The motors are the same for the Bugs 2 W and Bugs 2 C. They are exactly the same except for the wifi on the W. The Bugs 2 is about average in terms of noise. I really like it so far!

So the B2W uses 5Ghz Wifi and it works pretty well. Gives you around 500m of distance before it starts to break up.
