Drone Video of Hume Castle, Scottish Borders

The original Hume Castle was the hereditary power base of the Hume/Home family and said to be one of the most formidable defensive castles in the eastern Scottish Borders. The first castle appeared here some time in the 1200s. It evolved over time, but was strengthened and modernised in the 1540s when French and Scottish forces built new ramparts and artillery platforms within the castle.
After a long & chequered history, the 3rd Lord Marchmont, a member of the Home family, bought the site around 1770, and built the outer shell of walls you see today, apparently on the line of the curtain wall of the original castle, as a landscape ornament.
In 2006 the castle was bought by the Hume Castle Preservation Trust, which is a sister organisation of the Clan Home Association.

Absolutely fantastic video and description!! I love history brother!!! I'm in southern California, there's history here but NOT like the history in Europe. Way WAY older and far more to learn about over there. I'm Native American Caddo Indian and our history is vague and not well kept even though we've been here for 10,000 years at least. Our people share stories to pass on our history and we know what happens to stories. They often get changed unfortunately. Our people built mounds and nobody really knows exactly why. They were spiritual in nature but the exact reason or use is unknown.

Thanks LuBi. Yes - 1080/50fps I find this give the smoothest result, although I have also tried filming in 50fps but rendering down to 25fps which also works well.
