Banana Island is an artificial island off the foreshore of Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria. Its name derives from the curvature of its shape. The island is a planned, mixed development with residential, commercial, and recreational buildings

Similar places elsewhere in the world are surrounded by clear, clean, blue, water. Ours - brackish looking surrounding water. We look at the structures and feel satisfied with how we are doing completely ignoring the surroundings.

Even the river that passes through London is brownish like this....this is a lagoon, not an ocean or sea. What exactly is your problem sir?
@joeyternaagor6457
@joeyternaagor6457 Жыл бұрын
@@sidex4 Is Banana island, island o, your comparison with evidently your ideal city of London? The whole of the UK is an island country but it’s only Portsmouth that is a wholly island city within that country, so you will do better to compare apples with apples and oranges with oranges and not be mixing and matching to advance your preferred narrative. Get off your “whataboutism” argument and deal with the point that similar places in the world are surrounded by clear, clean, blue water and accept the challenge that our Banana island can and should boast the same appealing surroundings if we put our minds to it. Your defense should not come down to “because the River that runs through London (Thames) is brownish therefore it’s OK for our Banana island waters to also be brackish”.
@sidex4
@sidex4 Жыл бұрын
@@joeyternaagor6457 why are you ranting? I specifically made reference to the famous London River (river Thame) which is equally brownish as this lagoon. Why are you showing your lack of compression in public spaces like these, don't you know your ancestors would be ashamed of you? What correlation has the color of the Lagoon, the river Thame and this exposure of rubbish you typing here got?
@joeyternaagor6457
@joeyternaagor6457 Жыл бұрын
@@sidex4 Ranting? Hahaha, check your dictionary for the meaning of that word. My original comment was “Similar places elsewhere in the world are surrounded by clear, clean, blue water.” That means I have been to such places including by the way, your adorable London where I even dined on a boat on the Thames which is a River and not a lagoon hence I said you are comparing apples and oranges. Notice, you have waxed silent about the factual aspects of my response and have chosen instead to troll. Unlike you therefore, I have a desire to see us improve where improvement is feasible and warranted for purposes including tourism, you don’t appear to have such mindset but seem to prescribe and defend paralysis, that is do nothing, just let things be. So, you’ll go to your ancestors and report to them (even though they didn’t create the lagoon in Banana island) that as I met it is how I left it o, ancestors. That’s your contribution to what your ancestors left behind, nothing, no improvement, just take it as it is, I hail you!🤣
