Had mine for a month...freaking LOVE IT! Great redemption from my horrific attempt at rc planes back in the early 90's! No spending 30 minutes trying to get your engine started! No pile of broken basla when you crash it!...just pop the prop back on and you're good to go!

complete newbie here- I just maiden flew this same airplane, flew abut 30 seconds, missed the soccer goal but stuffed it into a tree.. had to go home and get a pool brush pole to get it down-no harm no foul-found the prop, regained composure then proceeded to have a very nice flight... :) was nervous but next time out should be easier..👍 So glad I went with this light little plane, I would imagine, something heaver like the 1.2meter trainers would of been toast..had a couple cartwheel landings..this little thing still looks new..

Same, I crashed it into a tree that's like 10 meters high. Except I managed to get it off by applying a bit of throttle until it fell off the tree, then I kinda gained control again but still crash-landed into the grass. Suprisingly the prop wasn't damaged and it hasn't even fallen off. That was a cool experience! Hovewer I thing I need to practise in a more open area

My son's been egging me on to try. Bought the $100 Spitfire version of this. Was having reasonable success with it until a crosswind caught it & stuck it about 25' up in a thick tree. Plan is to get a ladder, more protective clothing & Long handled pool brush tomorrow & see if I can rescue it. Little to no hope to find the prop, but the package does come with spares. Appreciate the lesson, thank you!

Have been learning on this plane love it has just on small problem. I fly on grass field and about half the time the prop pops off on landing, this in itself isn't a problem. The problem is finding a black prop somewhere in the grass. Solution I use is I paint the prop yellow with red tips using enamel paint. Doesn't seem to affect performance at all but makes prop easier to find.

These are great little 4-channel starters. Only 1 real con. The Tx has more than enough control range for sensible flying but you should note that, if you do lose signal, there is no motor failsafe = bye bye plane! This applies to all the Volantex v761 variants - they all use the same receiver/stabilizer.
@theoztreecrasher26474 жыл бұрын
Update on the motor fail-safe. With recent shippings of the V761 planes the receiver programming seems to have been adjusted to now include motor fail-safe. Check yours before flying though in case you are getting old stock. Even the little Mini Trainstar now also includes the pop off prop system. Just buy a bulk supply of them and paint them as they are hard to find in the grass!

Many thanks for the video. I came here trying to learn how to begin (after 3 falls with 1,4m training styrofoam model) and I've decided to buy it immediately to learn with gyro. The plane is awesome, steering it is a lot of fun, I'm already switching off stabilization. One advice: it is good to learn above a field/high grass, the plane is so light it is actually difficult to damage it even if it falls into high plants. It is also good to learn while flying high to have an altitude to use stabilizer in case something goes wrong (I started flying low, but quickly realized that the plane is not that fragile when above wheat, so it does not make much sense to keep it low). Overall I am super happy and recommend it if you have no one to help you learn :) I'm also thinking off adding gyro to the bigger plane once I'll be confident enough to fly it, just in case (I am still beginner, also it helps a great deal during wind - one day it may save the plane)

A few years ago, I got a horizon hobby Sport Cub, and had a few days of successful flights but on mid mode, the automatic recovery got overwhelmed and couldn't pull up, as it lawn darted at a moderate speed and cracked the front, as it crashed into a really hard soccer field. I can fix it but I have yet to get the courage to try and glue Styrofoam back together. I think what would have helped is if I had flown it over tall grass, it would have been able to catch it should it fall

practice flying your drone LOS in figure eights. As long as you can handle the control reversal when the plane turns towards you there won't be a problem, just don't try and hover. you should try and fly nice rectangular circuits, not all over the place. Start trying to fly approaches in slow flight before the battery runs out and you are forced to land.
