The Palghar gujarat section poc work is shoddy, uneven and has bumps on the intersection. Takes 6 hours to reach udwada let alone Ahmedabad. Please be CAUTIOUS when driving

On 4th November 2024 I travelled from Pune to Kolhapur using this highway. It's messed up completely. No proper planning everywhere they have digged up. Mr Toll Kari have slowed down the project so that he can shift blame to Modi ji. Look at all the national highways in India most of them are digged up in the name of upgradation without proper planning, but toll has increased on those routes. People need to ask questions to Mr. Toll Kari.

Damn right. Nh48 concrete section in palghar is a joke, this tunnel is stuck, karad to kagal six laning is stalled around kolhapur. Even the new delhi mumbai expressway section from Bharuch to vadodara is garbage where even 80kmph speed can't be maintained. Gadkari needs to resign in shame.

Earlier it was 4 hour but due to bad road conditions 1 hour extra for us. And we were lucky since it was Bhai Duj festival holiday most of the highway was having very less traffic.

I think NHAI has slowed down quite a bit. Bharat Mala projects are massively delayed. I think Gadkari , with his poor health, has given up and surrendered to the inefficient Indian bureaucracy. Clearly there is no contractor working on this project per requirements. India is unable to execute complex projects efficiently and speedily. The engineering ecosystem is still not there.

Another great update. Thanks for this. Work is progressing in slow pace. But in my view, traffic on this route hasn't yet reached its critical mass(I am a frequent traveler on this route and have travelled in all seasons and traffic situations frequently throughout the last decade). If Khambatki & missing link tunnels get ready by end of 2025, it'll still be ahead of it time to serve western MH cities with faster connectivity. I think this is one of the projects that has started with great vision of future. But it needs attention and completion within next year or so.

There has to be some curse on the Pune - Satara highway. It is never complete. The only time I saw it fully complete and pothole-free was way back in 2003-2004 when it was freshly made into 4-lane. Twenty years later, so many highways and expressways have been built in India but this patch just doesn't finish. After 4 laning, it was dug up for 6 laning, after 6 laning, it was dug up for overpasses for small villages. It just doesn't finish.

The work on this project was halted due to heacy rains. Since, then the work has picked up consoderable pace and the work along the entire patch of the highway right upto Kolhapur is being progressing at a sayisfactory pace. Should take time upto Jube or July 2025 for this project to complete along the entire strech (Satara to Kolhapur)

Lot of people who travel from sangli ,Miraj , Belgaum & Kolhapur are paying Tolls for bad roads . The travel time for 230 km takes 5-6 hrs😮. Very sad
