There are total 14 Metro lines Planned in Mumbai Region. Which is approx. 340 km in length. Where around 46.5 km operational, 156.1 km under construction, 115.8 km in proposal and 21.3 km approved.

At the endpoint of metro 5 near that road over bridge you almost reached starting point of kalyan goods yard from there you could cover kalyan remodeling project under which 6 new platforms will be constructed to separate suburban traffic from mail express trains trafic. This is very ambitious project of MUTP 3 A of 900 crs

You are wrong in your assesment when you say Line 12 will solve traffic problem at Shilphata. Line 12 will not solve any traffic problem. There are very few people who work at Taloja-Panvel region while staying in Ambernath-Kalyan-Dombivli region. Most people staying here work in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Line 14 would have been the actual game changer allowing people to go to Ghansoli/Kanjurmar/Andheri directly or with just a few interchanges. For god knows what reason the line 12 was pushed ahead of Line 14. Probably some politician owns chunk of empty farmland through which the Line 12 goes through for which the project was fastracked. To raise their land prices by showing a shiny new metro train going through the fields.

That is literally every Metro in Mumbai😂. To solve congestion on roads theycneed to make roads better! Making another mode of transport is not the solution. People barely use the new 2A and 7 metro! Reason is the stations are far away from main localities. Its difficult to reach them. 0 connectivity!

Worst thing is that kalyan shilphata road widening from 4 lane to 6 lane is still incomplete, This road was already reeling with traffic jams and now half the road is blocked by metro barricades is making is disastrous. One reason is non availability of another road to shilphata. Some days ago a school declared holiday due to traffic jams.

Road widening has never and will never solve traffic congestion. Getting people to use modes of transit that aren't cars is the only way.

Believe me , metro 12 from kalyan is useful only till palava, and not much folks will continue to travel for Taloja, most will get down at palava and get the metro line 14 to go towards Kanjurmarg - central railway. And this metro line 14 will take at least 4 years, not a single pillar has been put for it. Overall it is a huge waste of time of the tax payer. Planning could have been a lot better.

Thane railway station ko master plan k saath redeveloped karna chahiye or fir metro line 5 ko Thane station se start karna chahiye Thane railway station then Bhiwandi ST bus stand then Kalyan railway station or last Mai Kalyan APMC uske baad metro line 12 ko start karna chahiye

Line 12 is majorly running on the Kalyan shil road. Unless there is a connection to the main suburban line , not sure how effective it will be.

It should have easy transfers to Navi mumbai metro and Kalyan station on each end, so i personally don't believe effectiveness is a big issue, especially because mumbaikars have no apprehension about transfers

Metro always connects subarea between two major stations. It connects the sub-area between Kalyan and Thane. There are 17 stations between them.

Line 12 should have covered some insides of Dombivli East, it is passing so much from the outer parts and skipping Dombivli, so sad for Dombivlikars , they contribute to so much tax as most population is literate and job going, they just have option of central railway. Basically no metro for Dombivli.

I dont approve the 2nd phase, it wont solve any current traffic issues, should have covered Dombivli prime area. Thane Bhiwandi rapid transport was much needed & it will be to Bhiwandi commuters.

Pls show line 12 allignment by Drone. Also, if you can get hold of the stations GPS coordinates. The DPR available online is old one and may not have the latest poistions. You could try to reach out to Palava City and Runwal for funding your videos of this section as it will benefit them.

This project will take ages to finish. Development speed in KDMC region is very very slow. May be in 2030 this line may get operational fully. Mankholi bridge, Palava junction flyover to name few which are in development since ages but still see no light when they will be open to use.

Line 12 they have started pile testing and load testing, so it it'll take 3years of construction at least. Haven't finalized on the metro rakes as well, so we could see delays similar to that of Bangalore Yellow Line lol This line opening in 2027 seems unrealistic for a project in MMR, especially as this Line does not pass through any politically/financially rich areas. Yes this will connect a lot of users, but not a lot of commercial spaces are available within this stretch, giving this the same priority as Navi Mumbai Metro Line -1, which was well to be put it softly, neglected.

Most of them are illegally built in the last few decades. As Mumbai is the financial capital of India many people moved there and made temporary, semi permanent structures by bribing politicians. Also City planning was not a big thing in India until the early 2000s.
