**** hey guys, any help on this one? I have a question (in a minute). After watching this video and the argument about flyaway recovery, I swapped SPORT for ATTI because I use TRIPOD mode when shooting video around obstacles. I found ATTI to be a good demo of the laws of physics and is quite intuitive, really. It didn't take any getting used to, as long as you're not ripping around at full tilt and not allowing enough time to counter momentum. I could easily get back home with it in a flyaway situation. I *DO* have a question though - if I've sacrificed SPORT for ATTI, ***what maximum speed is ATTI limited to?*** In a scenario where one is facing an unanticipated headwind on the way home, flipping into SPORT would normally overcome unforeseen wind on any day that one would be flying - so are ATTI max settings (horizontal velocity) established per POSITIONING mode or SPORT mode?

What happens to the warranty? is this a real hack or it's a switch mode manual on Mac/PC and then you can access? I will get one today and I would know what happens if I buy DJI Care Refresh

Will doing that void warranty if you have one still?

Great question Liz, I had the same one, thanks guys for a more in-depth explanation. Only issue I had was down loading the assistant software version 1.12 the link you provided did not take me there I had to drill down to find it.

If I switch the tripod mode to ATTI mode, Am i still able to switch it back tripod mode afterwards?

I enabled the hack and love attitude mode on my Mavic 2 Pro.. however I read on a forum ( and I can’t find the reference at the moment) where a DJI rep mentioned that their own data showed that many crash and repairs were due to the aircraft auto switching to attitude mode when it had poor GPS lock and the pilot was unfamiliar with the flight mode thinking it was in GPS mode.. capable pilots will always appreciate attitude mode , but less experienced pilots unfamiliar with how attitude mode behaves will have their DJI drone float into a tree or building when their is significant wind .. this occurred more with earlier phantom and early inspire 1 firmware versions

Very true - I can see this happening with someone gliding into a tree - also not auto-stopping in place but drifting with momentum instead. If this is the mode that it drops into when GPS is lost, it should be something that pilots know how to use and can practice, IMHO. Otherwise, the "safety net" of ATTI mode fallback is somewhat broken. As Paul alludes to, first step when you drop into ATTI is get some altitude as a buffer if you don't already have it.

I guess it depends on the parachute. ParaZero says theirs on a phantom will fully open within 31.2 feet.

I would like to know how to get Atti on the Mavic 2 Zoom. Happy Christmas!

I get pretty smooth flight with out Atti mode, don't see the point in stuffing with what DJI didn't intend, If I want true manual mode I fly fpv

Can you explain how you put ATTI mode on a Mavic 2 Pro using a windows based computer. Your exclamation only works for the Mac user

Drone U you guys are life savers by always having the best answers on problems that we encounter during our flying experience. keep up the good work guys and thank you.

Am I the only drone pilot that uses a Windows machine? All the videos showing how to do this use a Mac. The Local directory isn't there in Windows.

Or just fly a Phantom...left index finger *CLICK*...voila! ATTI mode 😃🎉🍻

I think flying in ATTI mode is a Bad idea, unless you spend a lot of time getting use to flying ATTI. On a windy day, more people will crash if they are unfamiliar with ATTI mode. So, unless you pilots spend quality time flying in ATTI mode, I'd be careful with this Hack. Plus there is the warranty issue that could be a problem if you crash.

"We know that attitude mode is safer". Yeah, sure you know more than DJI who has data you cannot even dream having. This video just overloads bullshit meter. ATTI is easier in the wind? Like the second you switch to that mode it drifts away. I just imagine a bunch of nooobs enabling that mode and crashing. Safer flight, right.
@frankkolic97435 жыл бұрын
Those who complain about attitude mode probably can't fly in atti mode.
@RimantasLiubertas5 жыл бұрын
I don't complain about ATTI mode, I complain about bullshit these guys are spewing. (And yes, I do fly drones which have neither GPS nor barometers, so even keeping altittutde is manual).
