I have been watching tons of these videos. 2021 the biggest answer is "if you dont have 10k, you dont already know what is going on, just stop you dont belong." Glad to see some people who dont feel that way. You should make a 2021 updated video on this topic.

Can you guys please speak to setting up a single member LLC vs just a DBA sole proprietorship to start ? Or point me to a video you made that does ?
@joeyduren50777 жыл бұрын
Jon Almas, (not a pro, make sure you ask a pro before using this info) this works differently per state, but the moment you start doing business activities with the purpose of making money, you automatically become a sole proprietorship. An LLC has to bet set up through you Secretary of State, and it is an easy process. Neither are tax entities, so they don't have to be reported to the IRS, just include the activities with personal taxes. Biggest difference is the liability. SP is tied to yours assets, an LLC is not. It probably comes down to your risk tolerance, but LLCs are cheap and I go with one whenever a business grows enough. You can transform a SP into an LLC at any time.

If you operate as a DBA and something goes wrong like the drone crashes into someone. If your insurance company doesn't cover all costs to settle the injury claims that will come the LLC wiltt protect YOU from being personally held liable for any amount that the insurance company won't cover in that situation. Generally a LLC protects you and your wealth from being taken from you if you get sued for any reason. If you don't get an LLC you are being stupid.

Great information I think I will follow your advise. been in Film and video for over 25 years and just trying to get into drone filmmaking. I would not buy equipment like I did when I first started, but that was 25 years ago, and the landscape has change a lots sense then. Equipment change to much..tomorrow we will be shooting in a different format and your equipment will be no good to you..but that's me

you mentioned that a P4 is enough drone to start a business. what about mavic pro? could it be used? or is it not enough?

The MP shoots 4k. Maybe not quite as impressive in size, but most guys have a work around for that. Bottom line, the MP can get the job done.
@RamataKAhn7 жыл бұрын
The MP has a significantly lower bitrate than the P4, which will cause softening and a washing-out look in certain shots.

Just answer the questions. Why does DJI not get the XT Thermal camera to fly with the Inspire 2? It flies with the limited time on the Inspire 1. Its all about time in the air with the camera you want. Get the XT to fly with the Inspire 2 please. As a small search an rescue club, we purchased the I2 as it is suppose to be be better than the I1. Everyone says that. Gimble is the same but DJI is very poor with customer service, as they can only read off of a web page. The techs admit that. Nobody has the answer why they will not make it , the XT, available for the Inspire 2. Please email a REAL answer. DJI certainly won't. Frustrated,
