Wonderful suggestions! Thanks, Rick! Have you ever tried double-sided nano tape? It is difficult to remove, but works beautifully on vinyl siding to hold mounting brackets, rather than drilling holes. I’m a renter and needed to find a way to mount a solar light near my deck. I experimented with nano tape before I mounted the light, and found that it holds quite a bit of weight with just a small area of surface contact. Freezing cold or hot humid weather don’t even phase it. As I mentioned, it is difficult to remove, but after you pull off your mount (pull at a 90° angle to the surface of the tape) you can then roll off the tape itself little by little with your finger or thumb, without even the slightest damage to the siding. Just wanted to offer that as a suggestion for those who might be interested. I don’t know if all nano tape is created equal, so you may want to try testing it somewhere before mounting your bracket. (Caution: It’s not for use on porous materials like drywall or painted surfaces; it would definitely do damage).

Hi , I liked the first mounting bracket you showed. The white one. I have 3 new Blink outdoor cameras so I found the proper wall mount to fit them on Amazon. However we also need to mount on vinyl so no holes! I ordered a pkg of vinyl clips earlier today that would screw to the mount that came with the cameras but will they work with this bigger mount? Or do you recommend ones that do work with it? Thanks Donna

Agree, you can place it most anywhere for it to be worthless without a sub plan at 110$. Even then the pictures/video, especially at night has terrible picture. The inside ones are ok but the outside one triggers at every change in light and temperature. Oh and if you do not call tech support to reactivate your sub you cannot use it for anything but blurry pictures.

Thanks for the post but none of the wireless camera's provide free plans that allow you to save recordings in the cloud. That space is expensive, and I think that the $10/month for an unlimited number of cameras is a pretty good deal. It all comes down to how much your security is worth. I also don't agree about the camera quality. I think they do a decent job of capturing footage day and night as long as you place them close enough to the area you want to monitor. If you really want better footage and to not have to deal with a cloud subscription cost, you'll have to move to a wired system that comes with a much higher price.

I THINK THE OPPOSITE!! I WANT THEM TO KNOW THERE'S A CAMERA UP THERE!! I want them to know they're being watched!! I love that the blank cameras click when they turn on so it makes someone at night hear something look up at the camera and go away. I have signs up front door back sliding door telling them THEY'RE BEING WATCHED. I KNOW THIS WORKS BETTER WHY? We had a thief going up and down a street opening up cars using a special transmitter that opens cars. When he came towards our house on the film THIS IS WHEN I ACTUALLY HAD POE CAMERAS BEFORE THE SERVER BROKE. The thief literally walked across the street PURPOSELY AVOIDED MY HOUSE TO GET OUT OF THE VIEW OF THE CAMERA AND THEN CONTINUED ON TO OTHER PEOPLE'S HOUSES AND CARS!! YOU ABSOLUTELY WANT THEM TO SEE THE CAMERA YOU WANT THEM TO KNOW YOU HAVE A CAMERA THAT MAKES THEM GO AWAY AND AVOID YOUR HOUSE. I've seen it over and over again. Please please let people know you have a camera let it be black on a white house. Make the thieves think twice of even going near your house. I mean why would you want a thief to try to break any of your house and then realize oh l oh no there is a camera up there now your house is broken into You have to deal with all that crap, paperwork, calling the police When if they knew there was a camera there in the first place THEY WOULD AVOID YOUR HOUSE NO PAPERWORK NO BROKEN DOOR NO PROBLEMS!! ;)
