I added the integrated light and worker-b to my LSZ-1 in the last year, I love them. Can you tell me more about the internal improvements and can they be added or modified to an existing ultrafeed? Thanks.

You can, but there is no need to add these components, as we updated them to reinforce against wear that we were seeing on machines that have been in the field for over 15 years. Our goal is to continually improve the machines' longevity and performance.

It's a toss up between the hinges and the LED light. I must say I still love my machine........ BEST EVER!

I love my LS1. I have added the Worker B motor, the integrated LED light, the heavy speed reduction wheel and the smooth left foot for my leatherwork. I had never used a sewing machine of any kind before this. The customer service is great. It is a solid, well built machine. Can the new break-away posi pin be ordered separatetly as well as the new owners manual? Thanks.

I've been trolling for one of these machines for a while. Honestly I hesitated because of the cost difference with the upgrade the the Worker B. The gentleman friend pointed out that it looked like you were "paying for two motors and only getting one" with the premium upgrade. This makes it more palatable. I had given up on the Sailrite and was looking at other machines, specifically the Juki-TL18, which would do pretty much everything I need except its not USA built and maybe not quite as robust. :)

All of these can be applied to your machine with ease! The internal upgrades can be added as well but functionally speaking there is no need.

That is a great suggestion, I'm not sure it would be feasible on a portable machine. Either way, we'll pass the suggestion on to our R&D team!

You're one of the only sewing machine manufacturer that put efforts in constant innovation, servicability and quality components and that target pro AND non pro users. I know that the heart of Sailrite is the sailing world and the furnishing world. But will you in the futur consider making a machine that is portable and specificly done for domestic use like sewing cloths etc. There are no manufacturer that has quality machines like yours and do domestic machines. Many just buy old vintage machine to have metal parts instead of new that have a lot of plastic. It could be like taking a small industrial straight and zig zag machine that is made for light and very light material (like the singer 20U) and make it portable. Like you did back in the days with the Sailrite Sailmaker

Luckily, most of the internal upgrades/improvements have been implemented for about a year so you should be up-to-date with the exception of things like the EasySwap Hinges, WorkerB Integrated Light and WorkerB (unless you purchased the PREMIUM package in which case you would have the WorkerB). Plus anytime we come up with improvements we make it possible to add them to older machines!

It’s not obsolete it’s a tank of a sewing machine. You can’t be mad because you bought it early, that’s just life, timing isn’t always in your favor

Singer sewing machines have never become obsolete, just like these machines. They keep working, like Sisyphus. It will probably outlast you and I say that in the nicest possible way. Look after it well and it will look after you.
