Love how the dripstone base is almost becoming Pixandria 2.0, especially that dripstone caves are almost made for copper farming with all the raw copper around and with the farmable lava mechanic and even drowned spawning if we might someday dabble at that.
@Pixlriffs2 жыл бұрын
If we had updated Empires SMP to 1.18 (which was never the plan, but plans change!) I was secretly hoping Pixandria would have a dripstone cave generating underneath it.
@sourpatchpanda682 жыл бұрын
I could totally see Pixandria having that dripstone cave under it. Let's say Pixandria already does have the cave under it. Keeping that story alive even though that story had an end to it.

10:00 to avoid the issue of the pistong repeatedly firing, you could also extend the circuit by adding a repeater after the comparator and introducing a delay. That would keep the signal "on" long enough to avoid the piston retracting every time.

Maybe use acacia trapdoors for the water stream because it kinda looks like copper and makes the water stream look more industrial and compact.

Oh I just scrapped a small pipeline idea because I couldn't figure out what type of copper to use to get that size and colour. Turns out it wasn't copper after all

A good alternative that I saw for the dropper clock (can’t remember if it was Impulse or Tango) is to change the output of the comparator so that rather than going into the vertical sticky piston and observer you feed it into a repeater at full delay, and then add a line of redstone going into a solid block with a sticky piston and observer point back to the first observer… in this arrangement the repeater extends the pulse enough so that items slowly entering the dropper doesn’t cycle the observer clock and it stays on
@UnigirlTx2 жыл бұрын
I don't know who started it but I just saw XbCrafted last episode and he did this.

For the Dropper clock with observers I like to add two repeaters. A two tick and a three tick. Then a solid block. Turn the stick piston horizontal on top of the block pushing the observer over the repeaters. Will stay on with a single hopper feed. Love your content!

I absolutely love dropper clock. Very important in Bedrock edition because of the trident killer. Almost all mob farm that uses trident killer will need a dropper clock to burn/destroy any excess item you get like armors/bows and etc.

For the most part you're totally right about magenta glazed terracotta, but looking at it in your build I think if you used slabs (maybe purpur?) on the floor to cover the bottom half of the arrow on its side, it could make an interesting baseboard in some kind of purple/pink color palette 🤓 not my kind of build style but I'm sure it could work for somebody like Katherine or Gem 😂 also, one thing I thought to add to the project this episode is a second item transport to send the empty buckets from the blast furnace array back to the lava farm, so you can easily refill them without having to carry the buckets yourself 😎

Using an item sorter to pull out the empty buckets from the Blast Furnace output and then another dropper clock to send them back up a bubble column next to the lava input chest would complete the system making it as automated as possible :) That would also be a good way to demonstrate the dropper clock outputting items at hopper speed for the chest/hopper up by the lava farm to pickup the empty buckets!

The ice block can spawn monsters in the water channel. Make sure it's lit up or packed ice so it won't melt. I found a few bones and rotten flesh in the filter system in mine. That's how i found out about it. So adequate light can prevent mobs coming in.
@nelsonbrum84962 жыл бұрын
If the water transport system is only one block high, you shouldn't have to worry about mobs spawning. If you feel like you need to have maintenance access to the water ways, use trapdoors on top of the water ways.

I use the horizontal version for my trash bins at mob farms e.g. once I get Infinity, theres no need for all those arrows from a skelly spawn farm, so once I fill up a double chest of arrows, any extra just go into a chest that feeds into a dropper which then spits the items into lava =)

Could you build an overflow pipe with a bubble elevator that would return the extra lava up and around to a point before the blast furnaces so you don't have to deal with manually grabbing the extras?
@MrAshleyR2 жыл бұрын
Next up, you could do an item filter for buckets on the output chest, so the empty buckets are fed to a water elevator back to the surface.

Ok, hear me out. Add an item sorter to separate out the buckets and automatically move them back up again to a chest next to the lava bucket drop off chest. You could even add an lava bucket overflow to the same return system so if there's too many, they'll just come back up

Great video, really like the tutorials and explanations of why things work and don't it's helpful. Could you not go one further and collect the lava from the farm automatically? And feed it into the dropper to send down to the smelter? 👍
@Pixlriffs2 жыл бұрын
Lava can't be collected automatically. I covered that in the lava farm video, but I can see how it would've been useful to explain here! Dispensers can't pull liquids out of cauldrons, you just end up burning the bucket.
@dazzmead2 жыл бұрын
@@Pixlriffs I remember what I was thinking of when I wrote this, Mumbo did a lava farm in season 8 but it involed a piston feed tape of cauldrons and a full inventory of empty buckets so that when collected the full lava bucket would pop out into a dispenser to collect. 👍
