"IM literally the best slayer so by default I have to only kill and displace the enemy." people don't understand this is a team game, fortnite has softened this generations team play skills. believe it or not, killing randomly just to kill can cause players to put themselves in poorer positions. for example: lets say he and another mate try and go around the right side of the map to get behind the enemy who's going green or top mid. he pushes fast bc hes aggressive but teammate is not. he goes up and gets double teamed, he fires at one but thr second enemy circles back to defend, but because his team mate is more passive, they overwhelm his teammate while he tries to clean up his mess, he created. since he basically baited his own teammate, it puts the enemy team in a superior advantage/position, since they can now counter the right side, they push, knowing they downed his team mate. they overwhelm him and reverse the rotation. keeping the ball the whole time. he thinks bc hes amazing, (he is skilled yes) then everyone has to converge on him when he puts himself in sticky situations. this messes the flow of the team and the rearrangement causes them to die since they have to focus on where hes at, protecting him, instead of working as a team. knowing their places, strengths and weaknesses, and knowing when to advance and push the enemy to rotate the ball, is what increases chances for a win. not focusing on killing without much attention to objective. experience: was a four star general in halo 3 and played lan MLG tourneys back in the day. I'm not as good as he is slayer wise, but my situational and objective awareness is more adept. yes slaying has it's place, but at high level, everyone on your team can fill that roll when needed. not doing it indefinitely and complain when your team dies because they cant kill as effective as you.

When you were talking about cheaters I completely agree. Their aim is too good but there movement is trash. There’s this Battlefield 4 player that I like to watch named Sab3lo who everyone says is a cheater because he has ridiculous aim and he gets 100 kills a game, but his movement and map knowledge is ridiculous too so I really don’t think he’s a cheater. There are hacks and scripts now a days that are minuscule and almost undetectable that doesnt make you a aimbot demon. literally modes in the cheat applications that have “legit mode or streamer mode” that makes your aim look legit lol. Been playing since Halo Reach, didn’t stop thru halo 4 and definitely not halo 5 which is actually the best halo in my opinion. This old skool gameplay they went back to is not bad at all tho. I’ve been stuck at Diamond 5 but before that I was shredding leaderboards. I started at platinum 2 I believe.

I'm an og. started playing lan matches with halo:CE. enjoyed 2 and did the best in halo 3. it's interesting how because I got so connected with halo 3. halo 4 and 5 was just a let down. totally killed my will to enjoy the game. I feel like 4 was slightly easier. so maybe thats why I didnt like it much, who knows. that's cool that they're your favorite versions. glad to see the were still appreciated. ggs bro. on a side note, I actually enjoyed destiny 1s pvp even tho it was super unbalanced. (spells, ultras, weapons that were op) then destiny 2 dropped and I couldn't stand it. now infinite is here, I'm starting to enjoy the tactical, team based, skill heavy shooter that halo once was.

From what I experienced in diamond, it's almost impossible to derank or lose anything significant, meter decreased like 1 mm. Not trying to be cocky or anything, but I think the grind to Onyx is gonna be easier than something crazy like Radiant in Valorant.

A lot of you are mad about him complaining about his teammates. He's complaining about FUNDAMENTALS of Halo competitive play in oddball, not Chess-brained positioned, no set-up complaints. Literally fundamentals. Staying alive, putting in shots, picking/dropping ball to help team. This has been around forever. If you've played enough of the game to be at the upper ranks, you should 100% know these things and if not you don't deserve your rank.

If you're comparing yourself to Lucid then utilizing the different weapons on the map can be an advantage. Lucid is very efficient with that and he makes better decisions during battle. A buddy on my team is 1912 ONYX on Knm and 1780 in crossplay. Gives controller players a run for their money. Ur just not good enough to compete.

Halo rank is a joke, getting to onyx isn't even that hard lol, you gotta grind for it but in halo rank, you don't even lose much rank for losing or playing bad, as long as you play well, not even winning, you will get to onyx by just grinding, not by being extremely skilled.
