Hunter, I wish you the best! Paul, I have some priorities for an overland build (if it were my personal overlander). 400-500W portable solar generator. This could power the mini fridge, charging duties for laptop, drone, phones, and lights. Slide-in camp kitchen. I’ve seen some pretty good setups that fold up and slide into the back of vehicles with similar real estate in the back of that Willys. Mounts for Rotopax fuel and water cells. Pressurized external water tank that can be mounted on the pop-tent frame. On-board air compressor. And the number one thing I see people forget on overlanders: a spare tire and mount. Just some ideas…

@jesseleesamples5 ай бұрын
That’s been true except for when Ben left. That one was very different. It was barely even mentioned, and Ben wasn’t even in the video to talk about it and has never been around since. There was definitely some sort of falling out there. I think it depends on the circumstances of why people leave. Other channels I’ve watched will say when and why people are leaving, except when there’s a falling out of some sort, which is the same thing that’s happened on this channel. Sometimes it’s just not easy to talk about why someone left.
@pieterv69845 ай бұрын
@@jesseleesamples I see what you mean. Though I remember his wife being on in a clip explaining further. If those were the real reasons mentioned, I don't know. I also find it a bit odd we didn't get the explanation from Ben himself. That he's not around might also be influenced by him living further away? Anyhow, yes there are some differences there. But at least we get a notification and some sort of explanation. I don't know if you watch Matt's off-road recovery? There it seems to be a rule that people disappear into thin air.
@MaxsGarajMahal5 ай бұрын
I believe Ben leaving was several matters however this is my simple conjecture. Distance traveling, living in a camper, building a house for his family, being left more and more to do dirty jobs. I appreciate Paul's kids feeling they needed to be supported in school activities, but then too, you can only leave a business so much before you loose employees unless you are making sure you are giving them plenty of monetary support, sharing in the booty that comes from sponsors, review company booty, profits and a few other things. Sharing the wealth heels a lot of time away from the shop when someone feels appreciated in all those ways. Miss Ben in the shop, also miss Ben in the shop with Sean and Hunter. Now the three that has really grown the channel since they all came aboard have flown the coup and doubtfully will return. Wish Paul and family all the best.
@jesseleesamples5 ай бұрын
@@pieterv6984 His wife said a little bit about it but it was easy to see that there was a lot more to it than they were letting on. The fact that the guy himself never really said what was going on was really odd. Whatever happened seems to have caused a rift and that’s sad. Sometimes we’re not owed an explanation for everything tho. Sometimes things are personal and the people involved may not wish for it to be everyone on the internet’s business. Yes I watch MORR, and most of the time anyone leaves, it’s talked about quite a bit and shown on video. I’m not really sure how you think that everyone just leaves and never gets talked about again cause that’s just not true. Sometimes the people involved may not want their business put out to the world tho. The only instance I can think of where someone left and wasn’t talked about and was never seen again later was Randy. That was pretty early on tho and I think since then they’ve tried to always let the audience know if people are leaving and why.

Some form of tire air system. Something for cooking and a cooler of some form. Camp chairs. Trash bag. Camping utensils... Slow crawling mode. Power supply. Minimal yet functional necessities for living and being comfortable. Plus, being able to navigate the terrain. An overlanding vehicle is a jack of all trades vehicle. Sad to see Hunter leaving, but I know in my heart it is the big thing for him to do. College is always a positive choice. He will always be a part of the Fab Rats crew and his wonderful mom and dad. Hunter never forget that you will always be welcome home. Good luck and God bless.

College is not always a good choice. It’s a fantastic way to waste your time and money if you don’t do it right. 90 percent of the degrees are useless in the real world

@@williamuskoski1385 I guess you just want to be an idiot for the rest of your life. The choice is up to Hunter and he made a great one!

It’s sad to see change but these boys are really showing their true spirit with how they are supporting their people by letting them grow. It’s amazing to watch. I’ll be a subscriber to each and everyone of there channels. I love how they see each other as family and that is the real reason why we are connected to these guys. Keep up the amazing work, and keep supporting each other. I love it.

If you plumb in a tank after the valve so it shares air with the bag you will get more travel and a softer ride without actually having to let air out of the bag to get it to fully compress.

Really enjoyed seeing Hunter in the shop and his video work. Wish you all the best with your new endeavors. It is always good to explore options and get educated. Whether it is in a trade or a degree. Whatever works best for your future. Praying all goes well for you in life, Hunter.

Hunter, we love you. We know the real truth, Paul could not get over get whooped in the lawnmower race, so he talked Hunter into an education path so he can win next years race. 😂😂😂 Best of luck, Hunter!

I'm very happy to hear that Hunter is going back to school. I always thought he should have continued his education. I wish Sean luck, but I have my doubts about his success on his own. Paul's personality and constant chatter is what makes Fab Rats successful.

It comes down to one thing " Never let Paul and Michelle give you a Jeep!! if you work at Fab Rats
@Jizden_Mipanz5 ай бұрын
Nice catch! Once they build a jeep, it's the beginning of a new chapter. That's not Paul's fault, it happens to anyone that gets their first jeep. It does something to you. "It's a jeep thing, you wouldn't understand"

Hunter I feel bad, I just saw you and your brother playing basketball at Hamblin Park on the 4th. I shouted to you, but i didnt want to bug you. Now that i know you're leaving, i wish I'd have come over said "Gonna miss you" You've done a terrific job these last 2 years. I like your work ethic and you're a team player. If you ever make it to Phoenix, we could teach you to be a pool guy! We love the channel, we've stopped by a few times when we're up north. Paul, Michelle, Grandma Lolly, we know it's hard to lose good help, but it shows that you're good people to have such good people around you. God bless!

Lights for night driving are always handy. Roof top tents are great for winter and keeping off the cold ground. Beyond that it's 12v and food storage, so a large car fridge and decent dual battery & solar setup.
