You have some long seasons. Here in Saskatchewan canines are done at the end of March. It was a pretty good season. Once it starts to break up here I will get after some beaver too. Might be 3 weeks yet before the ice starts to go. Thanks for the update from your line. I always enjoy it. Take care Brother!

Thanks for following along for the season. As it now warms up, I will start to pull the snares and focus on the beavers again. It’s a fun time because the students love to pull apart dams and open culverts, and it’s generally sunny and warm outside.

Me too. I’m not sure my colleague even knows. She just told me that is what she has been told by the elders. Something about it producing the best sound.

I’m guessing I’m pretty lucky my wife holds the door open for me to skin canines in my laundry room & that’s ridiculous season for wolves they have pups by may

Ya, I won’t trap them much longer. As much as I want to knock the predator population down, I also want to be able to utilize the hide. We can hunt them year round except for month of Aug. but I don’t know anyone hunting them after spring
