I'm so glad he did this interview, it's great to hear more people, of all walks of life, talk about mental health struggles.

Maybe he should get a support hamster.

A lot easier to reach out when you're a millionaire. I don't have any money and there's no one to reach out to.

Friends, family, teachers/professors, strangers on the internet. Literally anyone is ready to help. Don’t necessarily need to pay a professional

There’s hope. Keep positive and know that you are strong and can handle it. Get out for a walk everyday. Exercise. Cut out drinking alcohol. Stop smoking. Drink lots of water. Take some vitamin B complex. Take zinc supplements. Potassium. Try to stay away from processed foods. Get some affirmations on KZbin or elsewhere that give you a positive message and vibe. Keep moving forward. Let the past stay in the past. Learn from it and keep moving forward. Smile more. You can do some if not all these things today. Start slow and build momentum on positive actions and what you tell yourself. You can do it !

Imagine the millions people with mental health issues that can’t just take a break from working and don’t have a huge support team but we are supposed to feel bad for this guy and give him the spotlight…
@bikesarebest2 жыл бұрын
Shut up. What a useless comment. It's hard for anyone to come forward and it's great that he won't fall below the poverty line for taking a break from work but that doesn't mean anything. Taking a step back when you're in the spotlight like him is difficult. Hopefully by him being vocal and open, it helps other people who might be suffering in a similar way.

@@bikesarebest iT's hArD tO oPeN uP. No it's not, at all. Good for Drouin for feeling better but people acting like he's some kind of hero are such morons. This is regular anxiety that people talk about and deal with everyday. You hear about it all the time. Stop putting people on pedestals just because they happen to appear on a youtube video or on TV.
@bikesarebest2 жыл бұрын
@@whitneysmiltank it's different for everyone, some people might have a great support system that makes it others and other people not so much. Everyone's story is different. I wish it were extremely easy for everyone but that's not the case. As for Drouin, being in the spotlight definitely changes the dynamics, not necessarily harder than what other people go through but definitely different and definitely something neither of us really understand. He's under a spotlight and even now, there are people who are constantly insulting him and diminishing him for coming forward. And anxiety exists on a spectrum and when anxiety affects your mood, anger, sleep, energy levels, and overall happiness then that's a good reason to take a step back and seek help. If Drouin inspires even one other person to come forward or just normalised seeking help, then that's great.

You actually can though. In most of Canada work allows you to take time off to deal with mental health issues.
