Awesome video Mike and Dean... covered a lot of subjects especially on the differences between the U.S & Australia, ... as I drive through some pretty remote area's between Perth and Darwin, I always check on anyone stopped , It could be me broken down and just need a third hand to hold something to get the truck fixed and rolling again, there are regions with no mobile phone signal for hundreds of miles, it could take days to get parts out to your truck to fix yourself... changing flat or blown tyres is part of the job, I carry 3 trailer spares and one prime mover spare, plenty food and water, a battery jump pack, a small tool kit with wrenches, sockets , screw drivers etc.... so as Dean say's you are more than just a truck driver in Australia... When I drove in the US I didn't even carry a wheel brace let alone a spare wheel ... was always a bit nervous about that.... cheers again Mike

I love the dash set up in Dean's Truck. The shape kind of reminds me of 50's and 60's car dashes with the shape, but its still a bit of modern with the gauge choices and lcd in the middle all blacked out. the way the air ducting comes out looks cool too, I like the polished vents. Its a little hard to tell, but it looks like the interior is all re upholstered with some fine grain leather. It just has the look of a nice expensive leather jacket. I don't think you stopped grinning the entire time you were behind the wheel, enjoying the drive!

YEP!!! 😂(That should tell you I have a pavement princess) but don't get it twisted, I'm 605 horse, and 2050 torque. I'll blow yo doors clean off! Great video. She sounds meannnn.

Mike did you know that camels are an invasive species in Australia the same as pythons and feral pigs are to the southern US states. They hunt them just to get rid of them. There are many videos on KZbin about it.

Sorry, I don’t know much about driving trucks. What does that switch do (the one you’re hitting in between shifts)?
@TheBostonTrucker14 күн бұрын
It splits each upper gears in half giving each gear the option of becoming two which helps mostly when hauling a heavy load. Normally, this switch is on the gear shift but Dean had it put on his dash for the wow factor. Thanks for your question.
