For some women, it's hard to fathom betrayal so they live in denial. Few things hurt worse than someone close to you not only betraying you, but turning out to be a criminal. For others, I can't really say; it always depends on what's going on. In this lady's case, it's disgusting.

Sharon is the problem. She's the one that keeps the continuous wedge between grandma and the girls. Grandma would benefit with some therapeutic help from someone who can explain things to her a little bit better from a mentally ill standpoint. I also think that the grandmother will be better if she never spoke to Sharon again. I believe that if Sharon was removed from the situation that the family could repair itself eventually. I feel really bad for the grandmother as well even though I'm irritated with her lack of belief. I understand that she does not want to believe that any of this happened but she needs to really pay attention. She needs to help herself. She needs to get away from Sharon.
