Ah, my late older brother: He spent most of his life without a job. He was a professional musician, and technically a failed rock star; AND-he was once invited by Gene Simmons to audition for him (when Ace Frehley originally left 'KISS' in the early 80s). He didn't get the job (obviously, for it went to Vinnie Vincent). True story! I'm trying to remember if he ever held a day job in his life.

Back in '70-'71, he was a guitarist in The Buddy Miles Band-with whom he live shows with Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, and Janis Joplin, who are all mentioned in this song. He was also at Jimi Hendrix's funeral. It wasn't until after his death that I discovered that he had auditioned for KISS! Hmm.
