@@mordie31bruh, you're equating 'now' because of technology and 'socIal mEdIA' as if it's never been the same since the dawn of the Human existence... now we have contrived concepts such as 'morality' and equating Humanity to being a 'Good' thing to be deemed as which goes for terms such as 'Humane' to equate it towards something 'moral' with positive and righteous intent when compared to 'immoral' then it's set to create a moral high ground to those who are deemed not fit for the 'social norm' that surrounded around Morality, even though that's all a BS modern narrative that was derived from trying to separate and differentiate from those who are deemed 'different' to the social norm and how Humanity cannot be this way despite that goes against the 'nature' aspect of it which is where 'change' comes along as it contradicts with 'nature' itself...

In American Psycho, Patrick knows he is empty and surrounds himself with superficial things he thinks give meaning to other people, then wonders why he does not also find meaning in them. He has no capacity for feeling anything, but is intelligent enough to know he needs to connect with something, but because he doesn't feel he doesn't realise he won't be satisfied with shallow pursuits. I don't think this video is about the same thing, it seems to use Patrick Bateman as some kind of relatable everyman, when the whole point of American Psycho is that he isn't, he is like an alien trying to understand what makes humans tick. Most people reading this have both intellect AND the capacity to feel. In conclusion, yes social media is fucked, but just because you relate to the sentiments in this video does not mean you are Patrick Bateman.

The bit about the endless notifications and how repetitive the whole thing is reminds me too much about myself and the lifestyle I currently lead. I have been suffering from a Reddit-KZbin addiction for a while now. I actively despise the former website and the latter does not entertain me much anymore, yet I still overuse both each day for no reason other than habit. Thanks for posting this video. It's very well made and funny, and I relate to it enough that I think I can finally be motivated to make some changes in my life.

just quit. Literally delete your account and block the website. Like just stop it's not heroin my guy just turn off the PC, delete the app, remove your browser. Took me ten seconds to quit reddit, literally hours of time on the site to absolutely nothing overnight. Good riddance, amazing decision, i'll never have to listen to racist piss-drinkers telling me some bullshit they read in the guardian last week.
@56jasa7 ай бұрын
Same. Although for me it's no longer Reddit. Mostly I just use it for porn. I also e-rp a lot. But same for KZbin. I installed a time tracker several years ago and seeing the thousands of hours racked up is just depressing.
