Find out how counselling is done in patients with depression. Counselling helps in the treatment of depression without the use of medicines. The treatment in depression can be done by using antidepressants and by doing counselling session. The most commonly counselling technique in depression is cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). In this video, Dr Praveen Tripathi describes the principle behind CBT and the two important techniques used in CBT.
Dr Praveen Tripathi is a renowned psychiatrist who practices in Delhi-NCR. He did his MBBS from University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS, Delhi) and MD (Psychiatry) from the prestigious Institute of Human Behavior and Allied Sciences (IHBAS, Delhi). He also underwent training at the world-renowned Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, USA and Kansas University Medical Centre, Kansas, USA. He is one amongst the few Indian doctors who have cleared the prestigious United States Clinical Skill examination that evaluates a doctor's clinical competency.Dr. Tripathi underwent training in the use of transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy from Harvard Medical Centre, which is the topmost medical college in the USA..

After getting married i was abused mentally and verbally with both from my husband and my mother in law which lead me to a traumatic stage of my life. And out of sudden i fell into depression. Now after months later and changing the location (separation from husband) from there i am slowing coming back to positivity in my life. I hope i will get more strong and strength in upcoming future.

Depression is really like a war whther u will die or fight....we have to fight Never give up.I'm depressed one year I'm decided to fight N fell strong everyday to pik positive always stay busy n I'm joining prayer group n now 80% I fell better I'm so happy bcz god knows my feelings people dnt understand our feelings bt god knws every our feelings bcz he is our saviour pray to god he will guide you n give u happiness n freedom.

Very important for mental depressed or sufferers......me b ise suffer Kiya hu or mene khud ko cure kiya without any medicine only and only by myself so the only thing that will help you or helped me is please please be practical....socho jo hi rha h....bilkul tiredness ko ek taraf rakhke practically socho apne aas paas ko puri tarah aankh khol ke dekho bass tum acha feel kroge or khud me change dekhoge..............and or ki thought when was you mentally healthy or q the uss tym.....it will help u.........and last but not least socho ki mujhe kuch to acha karna h like mujhe different or u know knowledgeable person apne andar develope karna h.....mene meditation yoga kuch n ni kiya tha bass apne upar chote chote cheejo ko observe karke change Kiya ....guys if u want to do meditation or yoga definitely do......love u all be healthy.....kab takk h hu me iss planet par atleast apne andar hi simat ke ni rehna bilkul b.....never Suicide 😭😭

I am student of class 11 who recently passed class 10. Actually, I want to say that my father is one of toxic parent.I am studying in Trinity Global School Patna. And I am studying here from class 7 in boarding school. I thought that after 10th I will leave boarding school and will continue class 11 in somewhere else with freedom. But my father is one of toxic parents who first said ok and now he is saying that again I have to continue in that boarding school otherwise leave studies and do some business. I am confused because I don't want to go in that boarding because I have been there for more than 4 years and also right now i don't want to do business I want to study.

Bruh, your dad is just preparing for the real world, becoz he knows what the real world out there is, u can't survive there being weak. Either suffer the pain of boarding school and become strong or suffer the pain of outer world like being ignored, not valued, getting hurt etc.

Mr behera..what this doc is saying is not depression ...in depression ur head gets heavy and u have vertigo type...instability...u cannot walk on the road...due to low levels of serotonin and dopamine and non Adrenalin in upper brain...affects motor nerves walking speech tremor....what u are telling is completely different...that is not clinical depression....that is normal everyday sadness that all of us have.....we dont need doctor for that.

Sir what if the situation is NOT normal or misjudged and the person is getting due to some real, very difficult external situations? Something where it is either impossible to get out of it or is not worth the effort? Something like someone having a total career collapse or a relationship failure or death of losing someone extremely close or whatever.

Nikita Jain, God has given us life to enjoy. Meditation is the only practical way to handle depression. Watch Anulom Vilom meditation videos on Google search and do this simple alternate nostril breathing meditation for 10 to 15 minutes morning and night. Your mind will be reprogrammed to relax. hamesha yaad rakhiye anger humoo tab hi ata hau jab humko lagta hai ki humara kuch humse cheena ja raha hai, har ek insaan ke gussey ka karan yahi hota hai, check karna. how to forget ander. just follow one single easiest step . jab tak apka kuch aisa na cheena jaise jo recover nahi ho sakta tab tak apko gussa nahi karna hai, yaani abhi se ye notice karo ki jis baat pe apko gussa ana shuru ho raha hai, kya ussey apka kuch aisa chala jayega jo wapis nahi apayega? agar jawab na aye to hi gussa karein. ab aap bataye apko gussa kab ata hai. aur han usse bhi pehle sabse best solution hai ki aap gussa karne se pehle bus 5-10 second ruk kar gussa karein to 5-10 second baad apka gussa gayab ho chuka hoga because is 5-10 second me humara mind hi humko humare gussey pe control karne ka rasta bata chuka hota hai aur ladayi ladayi nahi discussion hi bana rehta hai otherwise shuruwat to discussion se hoti hai aur fir arguments fir fight. so just relax "koi kuch nahi cheen ke le ja sakta apka,"just believe in this🙏
